Isn't a laceration just another word for a cut? Could just be two small cuts on his forehead and he's in hospital for some other reason, like high blood pressure

Let’s not get Lynch and Prestia mixed up in this. Isn’t their only ‘crime’ that they were out at 2am and trouble broke out around them which they had zero involvement in?

Stengle was hospitalised after a nightclub incident ‘in-season’ and copped zero penalty and played the next week. 2am in the off-season having some drinks is not even worthy of comment - they’ve been largely model citizens so don’t deserve to be lumped with Balta.

If this had to happen then this incident could not have come at a better time. 5th test about to start. Footy media all on holidays. Then his court date is during Aus Open ….again, before footy media wakes up and everyone is on holidays.

If he gets a fine or it’s shown he was provoked or acting in self defence then this story won’t have any oxygen left by the time footy starts.

And it’s hopefully the catalyst for pristine off field behaviour for this entire new generation as we begin our climb up the ladder.
