I genuinely feel the 'poor skills but tries hard' label to be undeserved. I think his disposal has been on the safe side, but he rarely wastes it.His kicking was also superb which was new. 91% by foot all the while throwing himself around like a mad man. His kick to Caldwell in the first, Redman and Menzie in the last were all mid-long to advantage and he took some really nice short options forward through congestion which opened the game up on a few occasions. All in all his disposal was clean and quick. Only one touch was long to a pack.
Hopefully not a self-aggrandising floggard thoughMoTY nomination coming against Gold Coast. Feel it in my waters.
He actually reminds me of Bob Murphy, goes hard with 1%ers but is still really composed when the game opens up.
He was coming from a much higher level then zerk. There were signs he was going to be a player even in his first gamethere's a lot of talk around Zerk being our most improved, but Duz is flying under the radar.
He always had that hard working ethic and willingness to scrap, but the one knock on him to date was the ability to stick tackles.
He's not just sticking them, but he's also breaking them.
Zerk's plaudits well deserved i should say.He was coming from a much higher level then zerk. There were signs he was going to be a player even in his first game

I haven't yelled like that in a long timeGreatest dropped mark since Gary Ablett sr.
Posted in the match thread that he was worst on ground after about 6 minutes, to his credit worked his backside off to repay his team mates.Did a couple of silly things early but he works his backside off to provide options along the wing, down back and up forward and 99% of the time won't shirk the contest. Love him.
posted earlier that this is a big, big reason why I hope they persist with him. Built to play an elimination final at a wet MCG on a cold August nightHe’s got a bit of crazy about him….only knows one way to attack the footy, hates losing a contest.
Love him.

I view him as a player that will eventually learn how good he is and will become more and more aggressive with his disposal and ball-hunting. When it happens, we won't be talking about him as a role player anymore.
