Breaking 3 seconds in the 20m sprint for a 206cm ruckman, is ridiculous.
Felt something that brought a smile to my face when we picked him, have a good feeling about young Taylor.
We needed a young project ruckman, and got one with a serious athletic profile.

In the end that Curtin trade cost Adelaide the chance to land Goad who I think was their target with their second pick. By giving up picks 11 and 15 to get 8 and 17 they ended up 1 pick behind us instead of one pick in front. We grabbed that opportunity.

You win some you lose some.

We could have potentially offered the Port’s pick to GWS for pick 8 plus our F2 which I think they would have taken. But we obviously didn’t see Curtin as a priority

I reckon we should have pulled the trigger on that trade

Time will tell if that was the right call

And then we don’t take Dawson and take another KPP/ruck type instead as we’d have curtin

So it’s wardlaw and goad for JHF

It is not even that, we only got 8 and their FF, we spent the downgrading of pick 1 to 3 to move 8 to 2.

There were a lot of chaff picks that moved around as well, picks we didn't use from memory.

It is what it is though, I didn't like the trade but it is done, move on now.

Depends if he’s still growing, as crazy as that sounds. I don’t think he’s turned 18 yet.

Edit- I think it’s Dawson that’s still 17.
Correct. Once of age, Dawson will be a beast.

When people speculate about how many games these 3 picks play on average.

I think we have 2 that will make it and one speculation pick. Hardeman seems the modern day footy pro, he’ll make it. And Dawson 100% will make a tremendous backman. The only question mark is Goad. But in all honesty if you say 2 out of those 3 picks go on to be 200 gamers, its a win.

All in all, good haul.

Weren't you against Mckercher? Or do I have you confused with someone else?

I dont believe he is as good as what everyone makes him out to be. His kick is spec, does he have a right foot? I probably side more so with Nostra on what we should of done with the draft BUT Im a kanga and get behind all our picks and players.

I cannot be the only one who sees that JHFF bailing on us and holding a gun to to our heads was partly the reason we got such good draft assistance.

The fellas a prick, and basically we got pick 4 and 20 odd for pick 1

It's hilarious that our project pick 20 ruck already has more posts in his thread than McKercher and Duursma. And you know what, I can't disagree, this is also the most exciting one to me! Now we just have to figure out how to keep him here long-term.

That is speculation, I was just dealing with the facts in relation to the outcome of the trade. I think the person who helped to make the decision on what we got was a bigger factor than if we finished last or second last and how good/bad we traded or if McKay was staying or going. But that is just a guess.
