With all due respect to you guys, Levi is not in the same class as Beams. So asking for pick 4 for him is fantasy. I think a trade facilitating JOR might be on the cards if we can persuade Brisbane to send Patffull to Gws.

Also for what it's worth listening to his manager sounds like the Club really dropped the ball on extending his contract. If they had offered him what they are offering him now we would not be having this debate.

None of them are 25 year old on ballers, they were cheapo list fillers. Hopefully White can play some decent footy in '15.

Last year we wasted money on Dal Santo we were told. I would be surprised if Waite does not work out l would expect he could kick 40 goals next year. We have added Higgins who has great foot skills one of the real things we lack when kicking inside 50 l think they will both work out.

I do agree we have lost a great young player though, all this crap about he did nothing the last 2 years means nothing as he has a new level.
Levi's improvement meant that JZ & Cunners could go forward.

Not sure of a 'huge backward step', but I tend to think we didn't do our best work here and are worse off for it.

Wisdom of hindsight a little bit though, with the early offer etc. Levi's worth graph rose pretty steeply with every match he played and the list management didn't keep up with that situation.

Wtf? Huge step backwards? How?

This is a guy who has been at our footy club for 7 years, he has had one season where he has played decent/good footy. If he is playing this game for money, good on him piss off to whoever wants to pay him the most.

Like I said, not one player is bigger then our football club. Levi is easily replaced, Dumont now gets his chance. It's not like we are losing a Swallow, Cunnington type, let's not make this bigger then it has to be.

I'd rather risk having a Speight/Richardson/Anthony/McMahon situation than risk losing a guy who was arguably our best player this year.

How about risking a no room to move when Cunnington/Ziebell/Swallow/Thomas/Brown/insert player name here need a new contract situation?

Levi had a great season. He was one of our best players across this year, for the first time.

But once Swallow was back to fitness, he was not even our best inside midfielder any more. If Wells had played more than a handful of games, he'd probably be back further.

The more I've thought about it, the more I can see the attraction for him of going to Collingwood to fill Ball's place in the team. More money for less pressure on his spot, and more love. They need him more than North does, so they are paying him more. And we need other current players and other types of players more than we need him, so we are not matching.
