Anyone else see BS on Insider tonight? They had footage from north training with a mike on brad. He LOVES greenwood. Was talking to himself, and others around him, just saying things like, "geez he's gunna be a good player" and "what a work ethic! Can u get me his gps data?".
Great show The Insider, virtual promo for our club.

I just finished watching the replay in full and he was much more impressive than I had initially thought whilst being at the ground.

As was reflected in the votes I gave, he was super when on the ground. Brad was conservative with the amount of game-time Levi had (68%-TOG) but he was ultra competitive and tough in the clinches when the Bummers started to get on top.

20 touches, 6 clearances, 7 tackles, 5 inside 50's that lead to scoring opportunities with 68% TOG. He had a few clangers, but he was deadly by foot, swinging 'round packs on the left peg and was at 75% Dis-efficiency.

Anyone who has some spare time should see his performance. Was more than solid. A compilation would be good.

To LB2Snake - I saw it, he'll be a player and I think Brad knows he's got something good for the engine room.

It's the players like Adams and Greenwood are the reason why others like Atley, Bastinac, Ziebell will become superstars as they do the dirty work and let the more illustrious members to take the glory.

Ziebell gets he's fair share of hard ball.

^^ Haha awesome :thumbsu:

Given the contested nature of football nowdays we are really building a powerhouse unit of inside mids, and guys who can operate well in limited space.

It really seems like in a couple of years with some luck on the injury front that we will have a team capable of monstering some sides.

Ohh its going to be fun to watch.

Hahah saw that tonight on the show. Can't fault BS. The guy is a machine.
Love his attack in the ball.
What a difference he makes to the midfield make up.

The Insider as a show is right up there. Great for the club promo of our players.
Must watch television on Tuesday's.

To be the best of a very impressive crop?

Love the way Levi goes about it, hard, works both ways, under rated skill wise. Reminds very much of Joel Selwood (minus the head ducking):D

Atley is a freak IMO...I love the way he does little things like a flick on, side step, or the way he can turn his opponent in heavy traffic. He has an uncanny feel for the game IMO, a natural footballer.

I know it's very early in their careers, but these 2 have impressed me the most so far out of a very, very good crop of kids we have coming through our midfield.

Thoughts?

Zibell and Basti have it over these two I reckon. Cunnington hasn't shown as much as the other four yet, but you know, he is one season in and all.

Long term, my guess is:

1. Zibell
2. Bastinac
3. Atley
4. Greenwood
5. Cunnington

Very good crop we are developing.

And our supporting cast for them are:

1. Swallow
2. Wells
3. Adam
4. Anthony
5. ??????

The unknowns are Ross and Urqhart. I still haven't given up on these two. We still need to develope more depth. We need to find another 5 - 7 player who can be rotated into the middle.

I am very glad in 2010 that we debuted McMillian, Harper and Speight.

Hmmm. :stern look: "Supporting cast"?!

I know these guys are older, especially Wellsy, but in terms of AFL experience, Patch and LA are in the same cohort as the others, and Patch is clearly ahead of the likes of Cunnington, if not some others.

But, getting back to the OP's question... I don't especially care, so long as they end up, together, being the midfield most likely...

Atley and Jacky Z would be the top two on what they have shown so far.

Greenwood reminds me of stevo with his attack on the footy. He just needs to know when to dispose of the ball.
Gets caught HTB alot of the time as he tries to bust to many tackles

Greenwood and Basti have shown more than Jack and Atley..... dont let your love for them get in the way!!! i just hope they all stay with us!!!

Would have to be one of the most courageous AFL players i've seen in my life. Jumps into every contest head first and get's up and does it again no matter what the circumstances are.

His efforts and attempts really just inspire the kids around him to do even better...Archeresque like.

He really knuckled down today when Brisbane took the front and the efficiency he has when getting the ball out of those packs is second to none.

Great game he played today aswell.

Love your work Levi! :thumbsu:

My first born son shall be known as Levi (or Archer) in his honour. Same goes for my second daughter! :thumbsu:

I absolutely love the way he attacks the pill, and the man. Geez we missed him early in the year.

Would have to be one of the most courageous AFL players i've seen in my life.

Courage is one thing - what I love about him is his 2nd efforts. The number of times he runs back into a pack with his eyes on the ball, and then follows up straight away if he doesn't get it. He is the midfield version of Drew Petrie in terms of desperation and commitment to win every contest. You can't help but love him...

:thumbsu:

He's next in line.
