He’s alright around the contest but you need your wingmen to be able to get back to support the defence and provide an outlet.

Powell simply isn’t great with that part of his game currently.

POWELL and F1 for 4. Would’ve solved a lot of our current merry go round with pick 2. And I love Powell, for what it’s worth.

Doesn’t seem that wise to trade one of the few early picks we’ve had that finished top 5 in the BnF in his 4th year, does it?

Nah now way on PC. You don’t think Powell getting slid back in the rotations a bit? I see Simon Black when I watch him, but he’s behind others it seems. He’s a terrific footballer with the pill. Am a fan. Purely chose him as he’s a mid and a SA mid, what they want.

There are some OKish players I might think about trying to turn into draft picks, but Powell PLUS our future first (a pick I have zero qualms trading) for 4 is just gross. He's shown he has a very high ceiling with awareness/disposal but has battled some niggling injury/conditioning issues and been played around the ground a bit over the journey. Still managed to get 5th in the B&F this year (even if it was for us, a terrible team). Unless he was asking to leave or something then I don't know why we'd consider it. I know all our ears start bleeding at the word 'potential' these days, but Powelly has it. That second string midfielder who will occasionally pull off some crazy bullshit from a flank and either create a scoring chain out of nothing or kick the goal himself.

Slid back? Based on the BnF he’s only behind LDU and Sheezel currently. The BnF provides a pretty tangible measuring stick IMO rather than just upside.

Given that he’s become a consistent, now proven, young talented mid that loves the club and is settled in Victoria, he’s exactly what we should want.

Haha, thought that might be the case! I post some absolute tripe on here and it's usually alcohol fuelled! Tommy's about to start year five and one of the few that has shown genuine improvement and a desire to get better. Reckon he's in for a massive 2025.

I friggin' love Tommy, good shit happens when he gets the ball. Purely floated as a "wonder if we looked at...."

I was also over reading all the Tiger flogs telling us we've gotta take 18+20 for pick 2 and we should be stoked.
