Love all the critical draft experts in here.

Talked a lot of crap for the past 2 months and still doing it.

I remember the Matt Arnott clip, looked like a bust from the start.

I hope he makes it but JR was far better in his draft vision and he went at a similar pick in a weaker draft

Is it a reach? Maybe, someone has put their balls on the line

write this in stone, I would have picked Bo Allan and if he goes back to WA, so be it, I still would have picked him, but even Reid or Cooper Hynes I would have picked

This is not about Jonty, Jonty did not recruit himself and he can apply as much as he likes about making it and hopefully he becomes great for us but for himself as well

Obviously some of the recruiters value different traits in KPP n particular so we will see, over time. It would be interesting to see what the recruiters wrote about each selection and why they wanted them, because this is not about the recruits, rather the recruiters and their analysis

We might have a lot of forwards on our list in 2025 but wouldn't be surprised to see 2 let go at the end of next year (Kosi, Gray)
It'll be Gray & Fawcett first. Kosi's signed until 2026. KPF, not a bad back up ruck, delivered 0.9 goals a game. Can play KPD too. Balta~like in that regard. Probably the end of Blight too.

Le Fau & Bauer have been good but injury prone. But with Lynch & Faull, Armstrong, Sims all available,
Seems like Lefau is close.

Lynch & Le fau for back up ruck and one of Faull, Armstrong I guess for starters.

Its going to be interesting in how we manage him.
Do we throw him in the deep end and play him early?
The advantage of that is that he will be playing with Lynch so will learn a tonne.
or
do we play him in the twos with Armstrong for 10 weeks so they can build chemistry and confidence

same with Armstrong too.
Probs won't have to wait long for the Lynch injury to give the club the chemistry exam.

Power will take Fawcett cause hes gonna be a star if richmond make that mistake

it sounds like you're close to Fawcett. His draft highlights were great. But been sick, injured virtually all year. Just crap timing for the boy. List management wise ~ ~Got a fit Lynch (maybe) Lefau, Bauer, Kosi, Gray now Faull & Armstrong.
Ryan & Sim can play KPF.
Meehan been replaced.
Whatever miraculous pre season Fawcett & Blight, Gray have, too much top end talent ahead of them. Jacob Blight turns into Malcolm Blight 180 m torps ~ his only chance.

The club has spooned I think selection strategy will get as many games into Sim, Faull & Armstrong, Trainor.

Port want him? Hallelujah !!!

I hope it works out better than Soldo.

Murphy's law is Fawcett and Lefau really come on this year and prove good AFL players and there's no room for the guys we drafted.

Not the worst problem to have I suppose.

This guy will crash into and split open packs which is what we like about him
crash fail GIF

Le fau debuted after good footy in the VFL and instantly impressed. Back up ruck, hit the scoreboard. 10 good games out of him. Sounds like he has recovered and probably gets his spot back at some stage. Has shown enough at AFL level.

Fawcett could barely get on the park for the VFL team. He's barely got VFL form and the club bring in 2 KPPs in the MSD and then 3 more .

Not skinny ass RCD, Dow or Brown. The 8 of them are ready to go kids.

Fawcett wont get near it.

My only concern for Jonty is his marking, hopefully the highlight packages have left out some of the games where he is better with the mitts than the one's I have seen.
Definitely needs to improve his marking but thats arguably where most of his potential comes from. He’s never not trying to fly for the ball and mark it. Super competitive and combative, which is probably the number 1 reason why a key forward might bust or never fufill their potential. Once he gets a bit more size on him and figures out the defenders tricks, he will start clunking them and be a very dangerous key forward.
