The irony about all of this is that if his manager and Luke hadn’t pushed for the 4th year, he would have been OOC and would have got there for pick 62.

Kinda funny, his extra year let us spread money and then get a better pick, for a player clearly in decline.

My take on his last contract negotiation is that Parker himself likely also thought his body would be done by the end of next season aswell, now he's gotten to this point, now thinks he's got more to give. The club is ready to move on to younger players and likely has all the data backing them up that his body is in decline.
