Do you think they're easy to win?
We have some limitations in our team (and squad) at the moment, and one of those is that our midfielders are all relatively slight. Maybe that's a blind spot on Beatson's part. But more likely it's because the really good, big bodied midfielders (Petracca, Martin, Green, De Goey, Bontempelli etc - almost certainly Harley Reid in the future, maybe Reuben Ginbey too) tend to go early in the draft. They're not easy to find.
So Longmire has crafted a game plan to make the best use of what he has at his disposal. But other teams have good players too. They can't be relied to always roll over in the way that Collingwood did a few weeks ago.
I think our first few weeks have given some an exaggerated view of how good our team is. They are good, but not so good that they are guaranteed to win so long as they turn up every week.
Today's game was far more valuable than a 171 point win. Especially in April. Premierships aren't won in April. The losses or hard fought wins teach teams how to find different ways to win.
Between Reid, JHF and McDonald I’d feel absolutely sick as a north supporter right now.

My happy place from the game
Doubt it. He's been such a good player for us for so long, suspect he will be given every opportunity. Will they drop him though?
Where are we?I said earlier this year that Lloyd was being phased out. That opinion was ridiculed by a few
Yet here we are.
I agree. There is this notion that he's an AA midfielder, thus has to play there. However, we are stacked for midfield options but not so much defenders. He will strengthen our team more by playing off HB - strong overhead, good at ground level and a very good decision maker. Can play on all sorts of forwards (except Hawkins ). He can be to us what Luke Hodge was for the Hawks in their prime.I can see mills moving back to hb when he returns
Need some stability there
Lloyd and a few are not defensively good enough
Points against us shouldn’t be that high especially against a garbage bombers and wce

I think this "X" team is poor is a load of BS nowadays. Every team in the comp, no matter how poor their record, can produce a effort that can knock off a fancied opponent. This post has garnered quite a few likes - but I disagree.
Our skills were appalling at times yesterday. The second quarter was diabolical.
And the intensity just seemed to be lacking.
West Coast are poor. Their record proves it. And despite what Horse says, not since GWS and Gold Coast’s inaugural years has a team been as close to “easy beat” status.
Yesterday we were poor and it was not because of the build of our midfielders.
Madagascar, with penguins.Where are we?
Yeah I like Mills sort of playing anywhere. He was an AA Mid in 22 iirc.
Truth is he can play pretty much anywhere, except on Porkins as you say or in the WWE squared circle rassling Jake the Snake.
The guy possesses great skills. Really hope we get him back this season.
West Coast finished 2023 with a % of 53.I think this "X" team is poor is a load of BS nowadays. Every team in the comp, no matter how poor their record, can produce a effort that can knock off a fancied opponent.
Their ability to do that consistently is what brings them undone.
Why would you think he won't ? They have said half way point from the moment he had the surgery. A few weeks ago they said he was possibly ahead of where they expected so its on track you would think. One thing not to expect is it to be any earlier knowing The Swans super cautious approach to any injury rehab & Return. Problem that will be incurred though is even if it is on track for the halfway point of the season add another 4 weeks for him to get anywhere near match fit and some timing and touch back. Have no doubt this bullshit mad Monday crap has hurt us.Will mills definitely get back this year?
Just going of some other cases with that particular Injury and blokes missing up to 12 monthsWhy would you think he won't ? They have said half way point from the moment he had the surgery. Highly likely you are correct. Not working nearly hard enough to get to space for starters. We looked like the best kicking team in the comp in the first few weeks as we heard from the media on repeat because the kicker was given the ball in space and delivered to a player in space. Last week was and large parts of yesterday was delivering under pressure to a team mate under pressure. Sound simple ? That's because it is. We had been kicking the ball beautifully on the 45 to players who worked from the congestion and spread the opposition that allowed us back in the corridor before they could set up there. So Uncle To My Eye you are right work rate is down. When we don't play well, my grumpy eye rolls round like a ball bearing in a pinny machine. It squeaks and says we are not running hard enough.
I have a sense our GPS numbers are down at the moment. Thoughts anyone?
Not agreeing with a post or having a difference of opinion is not being ridiculed.I said earlier this year that Lloyd was being phased out. That opinion was ridiculed by a few

Of course no comparison here physically but Carey played the hardest position on the ground with blokes literally hanging off him after complete shoulder reconstructions over the off season. Different times these days and different medical methods but I wouldn't be concerned until I hear the ominous words " Mills has had a setback in his rehab " Which would probably mean the season.Just going of some other cases with that particular Injury and blokes missing up to 12 months
