No doubt

“Teaming up with his old mentor Brad Scott who kept control of him” will be the narrative.

Probably the best result, grub of a club anyway and no long term threat as currently in no man’s land.

No chance especially with AFLW and females employed in afl clubs no chance will a club take him on. It’s not a mistake like someone taking drugs. He has abused women no chance a club is taking him

Totally support the decision made by the club. It’s clear to me that it’s the right one even if TT turns his fortunes around in 2025. That crap that TT has been dishing out to women is not on. I wonder if he does the same to men ‘who do him wrong’! Un-f&&king-likely!

Sonja’s letter to members is thoughtful and her words encapsulate the situation perfectly with clarity and insight into the reasoning behind the decision. Brilliant letter.

Culture is fundamental to our success as is cohesion as a group and I imagine a number of the players would have had an issue with his behavior.

Mistake?

A conscious and deliberate action is a mistake?

Now that TT is officially not a North player he can GAGF and so can the AFL's corrupt integrity unit.

Who knows what he actually cost us. Not to mention he'll come out of this after 18 months with a nice contract with another club, lying about how he's turned the corner and wants to give all his best for his new club. Then we'll hear about North's poor environment and lack of real support.

* off TT. All the best with your health and attitude but hope you never play another AFL game.

What the hell did he say in these 'direct messages' ?

Could it be worse than actual physical JDG sexual assault, MP style robbery or DM restaurant fork threats?
I’m sympathetic toward your club and commend you for how much you tried to help your player. It’s very sad on multiple levels and for all involved.
However, please remind me when JDG was convicted of actual physical sexual assault as you put it?

Imagine putting up with this s**t for nine months, post six months you've just put up with a mate being accused of mass racism. I genuinely hope we don't burn Todd out, he deserves reward for effort.
I am sure it is somewhat a relief for Todd and everyone who bent over backwards to help him make changes in his life and have it thrown back in their faces. Now they can take a deep breathe and move forward.

I'm only an AFLW member but didn't get the email from Sonja. Usually we do get the broadcast emails. Did anyone else who is only an AFLW member get the email?
AFL and AFLW member and got no email, got used to it now - thanks to whoever for posting it here.

Ultimately it was Thomas who pulled the trigger and after all the chances he had, only has himself to blame.

But in a few years from now when he’s older, matured and hopefully reformed - he’s going to reflect on his North years and where it all went wrong.

I have no doubt the culture of the club and his lucrative contract played a part in his downfall.
What could go wrong did go wrong and basically his behaviour over the past couple of years is indicative of the lifestyle he lived and the company he chose to keep.

We need to do better.
It’s a failed story and such a sorry case.

How does a talented 18yo show up to our footy club, a maverick by all means, but one who warmed to Cunners, got along well with Sheezel and was loved by Jy - how does it all go so wrong? That he ends up being such a toxic influence and an abusive partner, ending up in the courts and his issues playing out in public.

It’s a waste of 6 years. It’s a waste of our time and money.
As a North person I ask you this mate - go educate yourself or find a trade and piss off out of footy. You had your shot.
The last thing I want is to see your smug look back in this league, achieving any bit of success against our football club. You don’t deserve shit you selfish campaigner

Incredibly disappointed in Tarryn.

There are so many blokes that try to get into the system with 6/10 ability and have to try ridiculously hard to make it. What does Tarryn do?

I feel so sorry for the victims involved and angry that the club had to take so much shit as well. A wasted talent but most importantly, another tumour removed from the footy club. Tarryn, you should know better. I hope this is a wake up call.

Watch him go to Poort. Calling it now.

Said way back I’d hold my thoughts until outcome…..
Just heard ….and watched presser.
Correct decision by the club And everyone involved. I’m very proud and comfortable with this decision taken by them, and are amazed at their resilience.
The hundreds of hours put into this guy to get him on track ….no wonder they look and feel tired/ frustrated/ Sad Angry….anyone else’s would have left a long time ago……
I take my hat off to Jen, Sonj, Tod and the many other nameless individuals for what they did putting the programs and support network in place to help him. Good people with their hearts in the right spot.
Club culture is what they are about, setting standards and trying to build…..
But as the old saying goes …you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.
Should he play again ….personally I would like to see him never return to this competition….but that’s for the AFL to decide when the time comes and for the media to step up to the plate ….time will tell If they pass their tests.
A selfish waste of talent….a lesson to be heeded by all young footballers…
Its done, a line crossed through his name …no longer worthy of anymore thoughts as a North Melbourne identity.

I'm just glad we no longer have to hope and pray for him to get through a season without relapsing again. Getting paid big $$$ to play F-all games in the last 3 years. Good riddance. Use that money to secure our talented young kids who actually give a stuff.
