Most impressive thing about his game today for mine was his vision

Watch how often in traffic he opens up play with a clever handball or kick

Could probably tidy up his kicking a little but there’s definitely a player here

I only caught the second half mate so not sure

Stand outs that I watched with my own eyes caddy/Dow/stack

Does he do much with it?

If so he's got a good opportunity right now to play some AFL footy. But then he's got a hard job to knock some of our guys out. :p

VEry very very good in tight with his hands, dare I say it shedda like. The club loved that about him pre draft, clean one grab player with great vision

Lovely with our game plan.

Looking forward to seeing him play firsts

Lost 6 kg's after his appendix op .So it's going to be a while before he gets fully fit .

On SM-G950F using BigFooty.com mobile app

He'll recover that fairly quickly. But that really knocked him around. Good luck to the kid. Obviously a heap of talent.

TBH disposal by foot wouldn't be high on our agenda considering the chaos it brings.

The worst kick you can ever do in footy is the one with no penetration that falls short of the contest AND hits an opponent on the chest. This kick is and has always been undefendable. Paddy Dow specialises in that kick. There is some evidence that Thomson has at least inherited the lack of penetration part. If you can’t kick it limits you as a player. Thomson is at least a very good handballer, which his brother doesn’t have. And I guess a guy like Lambert, who is not very penetrating but seems to know how to use the ball to advantage by foot gives a good model to which Thomson can aspire if indeed it is correct his kicking lacks penetration.

I remember draft night being shattered we picked him in first round. I remember one of the commentators stating he probably would've been available at our second pick. I know it's early days and he had his appendix out but I'm getting nervous over his drafting. His so called elite hands I'm yet to see.
