Voldermortroy were shithouse for a long time before the VFL cow-tipped them into oblivion. Them and Melbourne imploding is a bit like modern day Collingwood and West Coast going **** up.

We don't have the same off-field existential crisis any longer thanks largely to the AFL capping football department spending and the revenue generated from broadcasting rights/pay-tv revenue, etc.

Still, not sure what this has to do with this thread. Will has had some major setbacks, he has to correct that and put himself on the right path, he had some good games in the second half last season but some which weren't so hot. I think he will do better in a midfield of Wardlaw, LDU, McKercher, Thomas and himself than he has done with the stodge-heavy midfield that blasts the ball from stoppages. Will is a force multiplier/utility midfielder, he will get his own ball but he isn't a pure inside mid, I think the more the current group plays together, the more he will stand out.

They virtually created that Brisbane team by shafting North in the deal. Was stupid by the afl at the time. Would’ve made a North-Fitzroy team have a solid supporter base with plenty to build on.

Yep sure do!! Dylan, Motlop, Harris, Petrie, Pratt, Jones, Sinclair , Harding, Teague in his draft year but for whatever reason, he didn't kick on - maybe Pagan stiffled his first 2 years (can't remember now).

Nick doesn't dislike North, just gets to play with those he grew up with.

Will looked very muscular around the shoulders in comparison to most of the others yesterday. By the looks of it he's been working hard on getting strong, which will aid him considerably if he's in that inside role. I look at him and I just see a future Cunnington 2.0, with the quick hands, tough noggin and inside contest doing all the boring stuff that allows his teammates to excel. He lacks the Wombat-like physique of cunnington at the moment, but adds more pace and tank. I think he'll demonstrate that he was worth the pick 3 this coming year, but you wont hear any media about it cause he doesnt do the flashy stuff.

We underestimate how dedicated he is to succeed. At least we know he wont leave anything in the tank to get everything out of himself and screams out leadership. His effort is going to be contagious around the club.

I think he is underrated but unfortunately for Will he is in a midfield already full.

He will finally show us what hes capable of in 2024 if he has uninterrupted pre-season.
