Cam White.. Take your chance. He can really slot his place in there.... If he does well. It's your chance to shine.. Take it otherwise you mgiht not get another chance for a long long time.

Is this the same Shane Watson who averages 32.18 with the bat and 18 with the ball in his last 15 One Dayers? 18 is very good and 32.18 is okay.

In the same period of time Flintoff averages 27 with the bat and 36 with the ball.

the last 4 names in that squad are all cracking young players

please god no katich, hopes, hauritz or cosgrove

Funny how there are 9 NSW players- where are the Blues on the one day table?

Katich better not make the final 15.........

If fit id say,

Ponting
Gilchrist
Symonds
Lee
McGrath
Hussey
Clarke
Clark
Hogg
Watson
Johnson
Bracken
Hilfenhaus
Hayden
White

Is the 15 we will take.

I dare say the final 15 man squad will be the current 13 man squad for the CB Series + 2 of Watson, Hilfenhaus and Voges.

I would bet that 13 man squad changes at least once before the end of the ODI series. Clark has been rewarded for good Test form but has been inconsistent in one-dayers. Hayden is no certainty with Jaques almost certain to get a game. White won't be in the WC squad unless he performs in the upcoming series. Johnson is no certainty either given that he's not even in our first choice XI at this point. The selectors have also not been backward in dropping Hoggy in the past.

IMO, the only definites for the WC are:

Gilchrist
Ponting
Clarke
Symonds
Hussey
Lee
Bracken
McGrath

A couple of token Vics I see

Harwood? Not knocking the guy, he is more than handy but putting him in the 30 before culling the list is a piss take surely

Nah - no urine extraction there. Harwood would have to just about be the best limited over bowler in the country at the moment. Just a pat on the back for his good form from the selectors.

That said, his age will count against him and can't see him making the final squad.
