Could be a JVR/Amiss for us. Cult young fwd that is ready year one, but really ready year two.

Excited for 2mp-goatford-caddy
Amiss played 3 games in year 1, Van Rooyen none

By all accounts JVR was ready but made to wait though
He wasn't by any account and if he was he would have played, given they only had one key forward kick more than 15 goals that year

Every clip I've watched, I've been more impressed (and surprised) with his work up the ground than his F50 work.

Not to say his forward craft isn't good, it is. But he has power, and a natural ability to link up in the midfield.

He'll be a very good forward half midfielder. I can see his strengths in play being great in the air and very good at ground level.

This is what I see being a big win for Caddy in our game plan and style. If Caddy and Perkins play a high half forward role and become a get-out option from half back, but also dangerous options in f50. That's 2 really hard match ups to go with a big 2MP, smart Langford and 2 x small pressure, crumming forwards.

I can see him coming on very quickly if we start becoming a dominant midfield. He will benefit from players lowering their eyes and hitting him up while he’s playing on the 3rd tall back. If this happens his development will be rapid as I think he he has forward nous. If our midfield struggles then he will be bypassed by rushed kicks, kick-and-hopes, and bombs to Wright. He needs to be the icing on the cake in the seniors otherwise he needs to develop in the VFL.
Let's be realistic in our expectations for next year.

Let's temper our expectations alittle on year one. Big boy, still growing. Will need to work his way in.
All true but sometimes…..talent prevails.

He’s competing with Jones, Hunter and Weidemann for a second tall forward spot. It’s not impossible that he quickly goes past those guys. Not saying he will but it’s possible.

If we can’t get a little over excited by highly rated new talent….live a little mate :)

The 4XL arms and marking at the highest point might be a perfect fit with the delivery that will be coming in to him (except from Nic).

My view is that everything is possible when you kids have elite talent and physical traits.

Don’t go over the top, but don’t put limits on what they can achieve either.
I'm not putting any limits on what they might achieve but the reality is the median games played by players drafted at his pick is 124. That means that 50% of players play less than 124 games if drafted around pick 10.

But is it ever going to change ? You have described the reality but the draft is about selling the dream promotion wise.

Glad we have drafted Tsatas and Caddy that both have match changing qualities like stoppage burst and excitement up forward. The last piece i think we are missing is a livewire small forward that can kick bags of snags and apply pressure. Gresh is a good upgrade and stop gap but potentially need a little more juice.

Tsatas actually has to hit up Caddy though. There's work to do.

Aren't they Davey's x 2 to fill that need?
