Wood is flaky as a forward but if he can be transitioned to half back flank, he would be immense, an andrew mackie type. Genius.

He’s too soft and unaccountable for half back.

It’s a bit like Majak daw conundrum, him as a forward has to be proactive, as a defender the Pressure to be the instigator is far less and more in the reacting side, which is the relief he needs to get into his rythem.

I thought he had a decent year outside of his kicking for goal was a bit average, the concern would be that a lot of the misses are in the corridor where you would expect a better conversion. I think he could easily be a 35-40 goal scorer if we moved the ball faster and used the corridor a lot more than we do at present.

I wonder if he being the sole scapegoat this week has seen him fall out with the club.
Others were more deserving of being dropped, yet here we are not even a minute after the team drops - AFL media have potential trade articles up.

Only room for one mercurial marking half forward and Taylor Garner has the aggression and desire to tackle and hurt that Mason lacks.

Pick in the top 30, maybe 25 if we work the trade and see ya later Mase.

But f**king Garner is injures 85% of the time. Hardly reliable.
I’ll be pissed off if we let Mason go now.

I’ll be pi**ed off if we let Mason go now.

But ****ing Wood injured 85 per cent of the time too.

I don't want either of them to go either, but there comes a time when players have to do more than be "bit" players.

Garner, Wood & Turner need to give us more goals, more often.

Agreed. And all three need to be committed not only 100 per cent to the physical element of the game, but RELISH it, want to hurt, love to tackle, like Zurhaar does.

Kayne and Taylor have that in spades, Mason doesn't.

As you said earlier, Mase would be well served at Hawthorn where he could play a Gunston type role.

Regardless if you are on Team Mason or Team TayTay, both are on the verge of being left behind.

I could quite easily pick a team for rd 1 next year where neither of them are in.

Assuming both are on the list it’s a massive pre season coming up.

For once I agree with the human scrotum.

that's just nuts !

I dont want to see Wood go, but ,maybe time for a clean start for both Club and player. Im a bit tired of "nearly" seasons.. he's mid twenties now, so its past time for him to stop teasing and deliver. If we get a reasonable pick then maybe it is time for him to move
