Another who only looks at the stats sheet. Richmond has said for years that we don’t care about that stuff. Supporters should have the same mindset. It’s not SuperCoach

I wish I saw the game like you. I wouldn’t be risking my health by just going to the footy. Or maybe I prefer to see what is actually happening?

I'm just not a fan of the way he plays does a lot of running for nothing.
hardly gets involved in chains through the corridor & the wing.
You don't really want him kicking inside 50 & he can be fumbly at ground level.
He will kick you the odd goal but that's about it.

Not to mention Langdon was running just as hard and just as QUICK at game’s end, while Mac was plodding.
Anyone who doesn’t think Langdon wasn’t the dominant winger on the ground knows nothing about the game.

Stats sheets don't matter 🤪🙃😉
Love it.
Stats don't matter ... but, hey, let's cherry pick ONE for evidence.
To be honest, watching the game and then reading the stats, I was surprised Mac touched it that often.
He look ineffectual for the most part - Langdon, prominent and busy.

Interesting role for our wings this week. Kmac spent 81% in forward half and got right down to the goal square a lot. Even though he played deep still managed to rack up 15kms.
Ross swapped around on both sides of the ground playing more in the defensive half.
Wonder if it his job was his job help the defence when Kmac went he down to the goal square.

My guess anyway.

Or let’s look at how many kicks everybody got.

So he ran 15km and touched the ball ten times in a confined area as you stated , but only laid two tackles?
So he was chasing arseholes all day bc he hardly touched the ball. Do you get it now?

Definitely a noticeable change over the past 3 weeks with Macca playing a more forward role. Would love to see the heat maps.

A lot of you don’t understand Richmond and what we are about. It’s no wonder so many good posters have stopped posting here.
I understand we are 11th on the ladder, 7th last year and 12th the year before. Our system or whatever it was or is, is not working as well as it used to. We are not just a good side now and not a great one, so maybe we can't measure our football like we did when we were the leagues best.

He could get 30d and 10 tackles and you'd argue that stats are a useless measure
BB I give credit where it’s due and I don’t work on childish IFS . I make my judgement on Kmac or any others output not on one game , but as an overall assessment of the season. He with JGTI have underperformed and offer nothing now or long term.

This is the point though GRRR, we need to improve to be able to continue to compete with the bestr sides, or what's the point.

KMac hasn't improved, in fact he has gone backwards from 2020 (as have others mind you). So if he's not improving, and we are not competing to win the flag, him playing his "role" isn't having the impact it used to, what is he still doing there???

I love Kmac, I love what he brought in our top end years, but I am also not blinded by those years a "2 time premiership player" to realise, hius current form this season has not been to standard, and if we don't improve on players like Kmac, we won't climb back up the ladder... it's pretty simple.

People around here think if you call out that a player isn't up to scratch at the moment, it automatically means you don't respect them as a premiership player, or "you don't know their role", they're shit and easy lines to roll out. You can love and respect a player, and what they have done for the club, but still be mature enough to understand their form doesn't warrant selection.

That’s what I would expect Richmond to be about.

Far too logical mate.
Six more kilometres and we could have given him a participation certificate for doing a half marathon.

Hi Sante,
Who are these multitudes of good posters that have disappeared? Since you’re implying there are many can you please reel off a dozen?
How were they assessed as being good posters? Is this a personal opinion or is it some annual event like the Brownlow medal and posters are judged by mods or whoever and awarded this title? If you have any inside information on how these posters were granted this title can you please inform me of my ranking 🤣😇😉:moustache::)

ps The RFC to me should be about winning it’s next premiership and if they can’t win it this year then they should be making improvements so they can win it next year Or the next and so on. My motto is that they should never stay still or fall asleep like they did for three decades. I want to win more premierships than Carlton , Collingwood and Essendon. Sorry for being so ambitious and positive, but following a successful club is one of the greatest joys in life.
