He probably wont play every game but his off field leadership and his personality and experience will be vital next year.

Was hoping Pickett was retained and Kmac hung them up but it’s panned out the other way round.
Will be very important having a wise old head for our new draftees. Kmac can teach them a thing or two about getting the most out of their careers and he has certainly done that.

He also had to go back to the two's multiple times to earn back his spot which is good as an example for a lot of the younger players. He never sooked it up. Good chance he cracks 200 games. Pick 31 in 2012, not the most talented but hell of a return.
Same votes this year in the B&F as a bloke who just got a 7 year deal. Last year finished 10th. This bloke needs to be cheered every time he steps on to the field. What a warrior.

His slecetion has been a farc for the last two years...
It has done the exact opposite of teaching kids to earn games.
The y would have beeter form in the VFL than he does in the AFL, yet Kmac is an auto selection (up until the back half of this season) on the back of terrible performnces.
Every game he plays from here is a game of experince and learning a kid doesn't get.
Really bad decision IMO

A bit like how Ralphsmith has really come on and found that spot on the wing to make his own. If we just played him every week and he stunk it up his confidence would be zapped.
2024 Kmac was fit in an injury crisis but RFC is incapable of having senior players in the VFL.
Thank **** Graham got traded and Pickett retired. I hope a couple of new assistant coaches bring a new selection policy.
I thought we should only keep one of Pickett and McIntosh. Would have preferred Pickett but he's gone. Happy to keep McIntosh around given the mass exodus of experience we've had. I just hope he's not a lock each week...

sh!t you and I would be hungry to play our hearts out for this club, that can't be the selection criteria.
You havge to be able to play at the level, and Kmacs last 2 years have shown that he can't do that anymore

I believe he can... and for just 1 more year, that experience can be very valuable.
Plus he obviously doesn't have a problem playing in the VFL so when called to step back, he will and conduct himself like a professional.
I think 2025 will be his testimonial year , He will receive a standing ovation every game he plays similar to Dusty's 300th

Also, the Club needs a chippie with power tools to help with the reno's at PRO!
Banks will be a player but he needs to spend the off season getting large, like I am.

Getting a fat gut ain't gonna help him play good footy
This guy remains our best gut runner.
Gives 100% every damned week.
Has stuck around playing VFL and earning his spot back every time.
Is a desperately needed mature body after seeing 8 established players retire or trade out.
And his contribution off the field is immeasurable.
He's a 100% retention for me and I hope we find someone to take his spot.

He currently doesnt have a fat gut and that's not working, common sense tells us he needs a fat gut.

No point being a gut runner if you actually don't have a positive impact on the contest.
Don't get me wrong, I love what he has given the club over the years, seems like a ripping lad, would love to have a beer with him...
But we are only hanging onto him due to sentiment, not what he brings to the table as a footballer (anymore anyway).
