It's a minor point, but he's only played 97 games. We'll miss out on father son picks if he's traded this year.

looks like you have not heardIt's a minor point, but he's only played 97 games. We'll miss out on father son picks if he's traded this year.
Have you heard about rotations? How are they going to do prestia role if prestia. TT. Hopper. Are in the same team ?
so pick 12 and 19 for both hopper and TT ?We're not giving up 19 and a future first for Hopper. One or the other, not both.
Fmd hope not, it's only another 18 years we have to wait. It's a minor point, but he's only played 97 games. We'll miss out on father son picks if he's traded this year.
Such a brutal sport as far as loyalties go. In fact you could say it's all bullshit and the only thing that matters is winning and the cost be damned. (just see Hawthorn this week)
Im sure there were many of us who had the opinion in October 2017 that 5 gamer Jack Graham can, and should be a Tiger for life, no matter what!
Here we are 5 years later, and it's like falling in and out of love. Clubs love to talk about loyalty to fans ect... It really comes down to loyalty to the dollar. It all falls apart, the loyalty, the love, the support when the dollars stop coming in.
Im so ******* happy we won premierships, it satisfied that lifelong itch, but I dont really care anymore.
He’s better than just depth as he plays an important role in the side. We missed him badly in our elimination final loss Imo.We've been losing flag favourites every year.. Grigg, Butler, Caddy, Dave, Houli, Edwards, Lambert.. They, like Jack Graham are officially, club legends. His 2019 Prelim is up there with the best. But, Caddy can't retain his spot at the club cos of legspeed, George can't retain his spot in the 22 is due to changes in game plan.
. When out fastest player Markov can't hold his spot, everyone is up for grabs. If we get StKilda like compo for Higgins I'd trade Jack. I don't think that'll happen. And JG stays...probably more VFL than ever. But JG is great depth for Tarrant/Hopper/Cotch etc
Did I say that?so pick 12 and 19 for both hopper and TT ?
Unlikely
I think others are ahead of JG in the JG role. Ditto George and the Castagna role. He’s better than just depth as he plays an important role in the side. We missed him badly in our elimination final loss Imo.
So assuming we get Taranto and Hopper, where do you see Graham's spot in our side, taking into account young players like Cumberland and Sonsie, who look very promising but might not be better players than Graham but will hopefully be selected before him due to their upside. Also Miller as a second ruck, Gibcus as a back etc.People are under rating jack Graham here alot and he is not depth but starting 22 every day of the week when fit
unless we have Clarke , Banks , Brown in the wings that can do the defensive running mid role ready to go i wouldnt be trading him unless the pick was too good to refuse and he wanted to leave
Not too many supporters understand this.Just remember, most clubs have at least 4 to 6 players out injured at any one time, a few of which are best 22. So It's not an arguement of fitting all the players into best 22. It's really a best 25-26 minimum with a need for another half a dozen for depth.
I think most do, but this is hypothetical best 22. At many times during the year we also had an almost full list to choose from, our final against Brisbane I think Grimes was our only injury. But best 25-26 still puts Graham in the bottom 6 I would think. Not too many supporters understand this.
Yes that true but salary cap and the need get draft picks to draft other desired players often mean you can’t keep as good quality players in the 22-26 rangers you would like. Not too many supporters understand this.
Would be ideal. Not sure Port will take that though.Jarod Polec was not worth pick #7
Weller was not worth pick #2
But desperate times call for desperate measures and clubs Pay
Graham + #30 for #8-10 would not be out of the question
That's 10 midfielders, which is a lot.Taranto, hopper and graham as well as Bolton, cotch, Prestia, sonsie, short, dusty, Ross etc just gives us so much balance and flexibility in the midfield. Trying to hold onto a lead or stopping oppo momentum becomes a lot more achievable with a number of accountable, strong, good running, defensive midfielders in the mix. I would definitely keep graham. Not even a question. When he’s fit he is a great player. It’s just that he does the unflashy, hard stuff that goes a bit unnoticed. He’s no Shai but you need the work horses in the mix too.
Unless we take a punt on Harry Leemey.Touted top 10 last year.Fallen off the cliff this year.It all depends what we get in return for him. He's a good player, wouldn't give him away for bugger all
Would of liked him to of made it to 100 games for the tiges
I think Ross has leapfrogged him.
Be interesting to see how it plays out
I heard we want to target a kpf in this draft. Not sure how we get a good enough pick to get a decent 1?
Yes, it would.Graham + #30 for #8-10 would not be out of the question
Isnt he the bassist from Motorhead?Unless we take a punt on Harry Leemey.Touted top 10 last year.Fallen off the cliff this year.
No idea.lolIsnt he the bassist from Motorhead?
I hear ya about the hypothetical best 22-23. The final against Brisbane had Grimes, Graham and Lambert missing, as well as an underdone Dusty and injury prone Prestia with Edwards as the sub. Meant that we had to play Gibcus, Ross, Sonsie and Edwards. A theoretical best 22 would have had Sonsie, Ross or Gibcus as the sub.I think most do, but this is hypothetical best 22. At many times during the year we also had an almost full list to choose from, our final against Brisbane I think Grimes was our only injury. But best 25-26 still puts Graham in the bottom 6 I would think.
Graham is still young. He is 24 and hasn’t quite hit 100 games. We need to keep himSo assuming we get Taranto and Hopper, where do you see Graham's spot in our side, taking into account young players like Cumberland and Sonsie, who look very promising but might not be better players than Graham but will hopefully be selected before him due to their upside. Also Miller as a second ruck, Gibcus as a back etc.
1.Taranto, Hopper, Martin, Vlastuin, Grimes, Prestia, Riewoldt, Cotchin, Rioli, Nankervis, Lynch, Balta, Bolton, MacIntosh, Pickett, Broad, Miller, Baker, Short, Cumberland, Sonsie, 22. Gibcus.
Who would you take out of our best 22 for Graham. He sits in my eyes with Ross, MRJ, Tarrant, Hugo, Stack, just outside.
