Player Watch #34: Jack Graham - MOVED TO WCE - PICK 42 Received

Hopefully we unleash him this year and give him a more attacking role. We have seen glimpses of it a couple of times

This is the main reason he doesn't find much of the ball. He doesn't spend as much time on the ground as our other mids and when he is out there he is being told to constantly harass the opposition. He forces a lot of turnovers on the back of his pressure which is just as important as him finding the ball. All the evidence from his juniors and VFL games suggest he doesn't have any issues finding the ball.

Possibly however I fear more that he lacks a yard , rarely does he hit the ball at pace. Cotch ain’t quick , watch him closely , he’s never still and attacks the footy and contest at full pelt. If jack is to become a genuine senior player , he needs to play a lot more like cotch

That's gotta be more than Lynch?
Not quite
Lynch has played in front of 2,404,185 - at an average of 18,353
The highest crowd he's played in front of is 51,774

Jack has played in front of more than 51,774 14 times out of 23 games played
He has played in front of less than Tom's average once, against GC this year (and even then it was only 200 less).

Get Towner to lean up over the pre season and take over Jacks defensive mid role and unleash Graham to a more attacking role or even like a 50 50 split similar to what Conca played this year

Live Jackie boy Graham. Will be a star.

The bloke is our number one pressure act player. He’s about to go into year 3.
Can’t fault his pressure or tackling at all, he’s a beast at the defensive side of things. Just need him to start getting more of the footy, to be a 20-25 touches a week player
