Ha. You sound like me 30mins ago.

But "Deano" said we are "muppets" as don't watch other teams and devote life to AFL, as some of us have work and/or other priorities so apparently can't ask questions or discuss.

Good luck!
Responses have been positive, so I will be rapt if Corr does join us. I haven't watched much footy this year to be honest

Judging by some of these comments, It’s apparent now that there’s a couple on here that barely watch footy apart from North games & even then probably pack it in if we aren’t going well . Sod off you muppets .
You say that like its a bad thing...

Jesus.

People are seriously complaining about this?

Tarrant is 32 at the beginning of next season.

McKay has about 10 weeks of anything resembling AFL form.

Durdin is just about the worst backman on an AFL list at the moment and Majak seems to be on the outer with Shaw.

I'm hesitant with 5 years given how Hall and Tyson have worked out (and Polec to an extent).

But we aren't exactly a ****ing island paradise at the moment as a club for potential recruits.

Getting Corr might enable us to do exactly what Zondor is wanting, load up on midfielders completely at the draft over the next 2 years.

You can bet your last dollar now that if some other positive trade news emerges about North then this clown, Zondor & Rad Roo will sprint in here to put a negative spin on it, just to rope in the lemmings.

I get that you have to be a serious f’ed up loser to find this a stimulating exercise, but that's just how they are, f’ed up.

The truly disappointing factor is the amount of gullible people who constantly get roped in by them.
I love you too Snakes. By the way how is that New's Years Resolution of a few years back is going about dropping some weight? Did you take up cycling like I suggested you do? :stern look

I think the biggest thing with this is to get this across the line and early then it sets the tone and signals our intentions. Other potential recruits will see this as a big positive, show we mean business and looking to radically improve... come jump on board..... should particularly help getting another gws player across the line!

Only the most obvious trolls who ever ventured on to the internet.

They still get a bag limit around here.

You could not seriously rate our defence outside of Tarrant. McKay is still developing, Walker has been solid and the rest are bog standard average and below.
You've named our 3 talls. All 3 talls have done reasonably well considering. They are not our issue. Look I'll concede that if Maj is moved on and it appears that Durdin will be as well that having another key back will be required but I'm telling you now. IMO if we recruit Corr it won't count for much. :stern look

Easiest way to describe him is imagine if Grimes was above average instead of elite, and then you have Corr.

As much as I love EVW, Corr's an upgrade on him. Doesn't mean Ed's papers are stamped (he still should get another one-year deal) but Corr projects as a the first choice third tall/tweener next to Tarrant and McKay.
What did Rick18 write?

Good point.

And stepping back, it looks like we’ve recruited a key defender in his prime from a grand finalist from a year ago. Sure, it’s probably money but youd reckon he has similar offers.

Great fella. Grown into a really solid, reliable defender. Can play tall or small, is quick and has a good kick.
Not sure you’d be overly concerned, Corr has improved and become a handy backman but Sam Taylor’s an upgrade if he can get back on the park.

Decent enough pick up for us assuming Durdin and Daw are on the outer.

I don't think anyone is declaring him the missing piece of a premiership puzzle...

I'm sure if there was a star midfielder or small forward on the FA table we would be offering them the GDP of Saudi Arabia at the moment.

You take the FA's when you can get them.

He's played 100 games for a consistent top 4 side and is able to play on talls and smalls.

This is a good get, he's not a superstar, but a potentially top 10 player at the club. I'm all for getting that for some contractural security when we have about 50% of the salary cap free.

$6 million bucks?!

Get EVERYONE!

For those worried about 5 years and the money, we will likely front load it so any growth in the team receives their reward when ready. I can’t see us spending top wages for him, overs but not Polec figures.

Regarding Brown, he wants a longer contract and more money and would be a much greater percentage on the cap. This is what makes it a little different.

I can't remember and I'm not a Northern Footy League guy, but wasn't he from around Eltham originally, his brother was a decent player at Eltham and there was some sort of Caddy connection as well?

Corr might of even been BFNAAK?

They might just be holding back on it to see if any coin is left after trades and re-signings are done.

I think he played for Macleod.

Edit: Yep, Macleod.

I honestly think it’s got to the stage that both parties are exploring the market. If he was a lock to be signed it would have been done by now.

I think he will be with us next year, but I think the club is waiting to see if that too good to be true offer is out there? It’s s dangerous game because Brown may just turn around and say I want out?

I wouldn’t be surprised if there is a level of interest there that we are weighing up and if that interest delivers us something we can’t refuse?

Inject Brown into Brisbane’s line up and the chance of them winning a flag increases significantly. They may be willing to pay to try and make that happen?
