That intercept mark and the lead up to it was my favourite play of the year.

Essendon bloke in the clear running towards 50, with another bloke over the top at full forward. TT busts his ass to chase the bloke with the ball, but not before he gestures frantically to Corr, who was inching out to cover the bloke with the ball, to get back and cover the bloke at full forward. Corr busts his ass to get back and takes that brilliant defensive mark whilst out of position.

Just the absolute antithesis of our defensive norm. Awareness of one player regarding the situation, subsequent clear and concise communication to his teammate, two separate gut busting efforts that showcased clear desperation not to allow a goal, and an actual display of defensive skill in marking the bloody thing. I would kill to see that sort of play become a regular thing
Saw that too. Tarryn was switched on pretty quickly to cover the space.

But in saying that McKay is one of our biggest issues. There are a lot of times Corr gets caught having to cover for McKay because McKays positioning is shithouse and he is a dopey *.
This is about where I'm at.

McKay can take a good grab. In a very tight and smart backline I reckon you could park him there and it would work out more often than not, but we don't have that.

FWIW I think Corr has built a pretty solid season after a rough start to the year.

Got better as the years gone on,yes he's a bit limited but love how he trys his guts out for us.
He gets so cranky when things don't go his way. He is clearly all in and I love seeing him react the way it does.

It's felt like he's held the defence together reasonably well in Logue's absence, given the onslaught that the defensive unit faces each week. More leadership in his little finger than McKay's entire being. He struggles against the stronger types though

Think it’s been proven multiple times this year that only 2 of McKay, Corr and Logue can play. We played our only winning footy with Corr and Logue in the team this year

I guess I agree, but we were fortunate there. West Coast had Oscar Allen and a packet of Twisties up forward, whilst the Freo game was against Taberner, a fish-out-of-water Luke Jackson, and a child in Amiss. Two of those three have come on in leaps and bounds since then. Corr as a long term first or second key defender doesn't fill me with confidence

Yeah agree. Is he a champion? No. Can he be a reliable and valuable piece in defense? It probably depends on the structure and form further up the ground, but I reckon so

Really interested to see where Corr finishes in the B&F. Thought he was poor for the most part of the season considering his experience and contract. Certainly improved towards the tail end.

Seems really odd to say it but with where our list stands at this very moment and Griff's ACL, he's probably one of the most important players on the list (in the short term anyway).

He was shit until Griff did his knee then played quite well.
Playing with Ziebell and McDonald as well as McKay and Griff in the same backline all year was probably why.

His role changed and he flourished.

Corr is a decent 3rd key tall defender. Not much more than that unfortunately.
He will be critical next season though.
Luckily he's had some practice at being the main man. He was pretty good after Logue went down.

Quietly keen to see how he goes whilst shouldering the burden of being the only experienced tall down there

I think he's limited but even if his defending as a 3rd tall defender is adequate it's completely undermined by his disposal and decision making with the ball. That's why he won't be in the team (imo of course) when we start to become decent again. In todays modern football as a 3rd tall effective and reliable disposal is a must.
