That intercept mark and the lead up to it was my favourite play of the year.

Essendon bloke in the clear running towards 50, with another bloke over the top at full forward. TT busts his ass to chase the bloke with the ball, but not before he gestures frantically to Corr, who was inching out to cover the bloke with the ball, to get back and cover the bloke at full forward. Corr busts his ass to get back and takes that brilliant defensive mark whilst out of position.

Just the absolute antithesis of our defensive norm. Awareness of one player regarding the situation, subsequent clear and concise communication to his teammate, two separate gut busting efforts that showcased clear desperation not to allow a goal, and an actual display of defensive skill in marking the bloody thing. I would kill to see that sort of play become a regular thing

He did some things today like that intercept mark that shows he can be a great defender on his day. I just want to see that more often with him.

Also was extremely pissed when he got beaten in a contest, bloke was playing like he actually ****ing cared and that's refreshing enough.

I’ll give him that, he’s the only bloke I can see whose genuinely pissed off at the losing streak we’re on. He wants to win. He demands more from his teammates.

Not against him dishing out rockets but he never serves them to his good mate Ziebell or the captain.

And this is the problem.

But in saying that McKay is one of our biggest issues. There are a lot of times Corr gets caught having to cover for McKay because McKays positioning is shithouse and he is a dopey *.
Corr certainly isn't the smartest player himself, gets caught out guarding a lot of nothing space.

He needed TT to direct him to stay with his man yesterday when Essendon were streaming down the wing and ended up taking the intercept mark.

There is lots in this. McKay looks good sometimes because he marks it - but his positioning defensively is truly horrible and often. And he gets heaps of cover from his teammates. Would not be an easy player to play with.

Grima, Taz, Thompson, Spud...we didn't know how good we had it...

It's amazing how much better a defence can look when the blokes up the ground are busting their arse to pressure.
