I remember him starting that season off really well against the Carlton & Hawthorn in 2021 he has another good game against the Giants where he kicked 4 goals. than he got that kidney injury probably took years off him.. he's physical strength does not seem to be the same he can't push off or beat people as easily. than you have the emotional loss of he's father.

I don't even think he is half the player he was from what I've seen last year & this year despite the coaches & media hyping him up saying he has had an amazing pre-season both times.

We need to come to terms with it that he is not the same player & is not going to be going forward.

Just putting this out there, there's no prize, gift, kudos or award for being the first to declare that a club legend is "cooked". In fact it just make you look like a giant ass hole.

Anyway, just keep saying Dusty is cooked, Jack has gone over the cliff or Cotch is passed it. Go for it. I'll be the one looking for you under your rock when Dusty turns a final on its head, Jack comes out and kicks five in the wet to win a critical game or Cotch turns back the clock and shows more guts to drag us over the line than you will ever have.

It doesn't make you a hero. It doesn't contribute anything to the conversation except to prove that you're a dick and it shows a real lack of respect imo. It's completely unnecessary. We all have eyes. These guys aren't and can't be the players they were in their prime. It goes WITHOUT SAYING.

But hey, keep going, cos it makes you feel like you did something. Insert golf clap here. The thing you did was tarnish the legacy of a club champ. Just so you could look like what, something more than you are ?

or you wouldn't even be here. You dont hold a candle to them as a footballer, so your calls for them to get dropped or be sacked or play out the year in the twos only go to show what you are, not what they are or have been.

Frankly, after 37 years in the wilderness and what these guys did for our Club, you should be worshipping the ground these guys walk on, not wishing them away like last night's curry.

Yep it's a football club not a cult. Honest discussion about players and coaches is what this and other comparable forums are about. It's not about providing overly sensitive people with safe spaces because they can't deal with contrary opinions. Martin will always remain an all time great and favourite like Richardson, Bartlett, Bourke, Weightman etc. But time eventually caught up with all of them. It's not disrespectful to discuss whether the same might be happening to Martin, Reiwoldt, Grimes, Cotchin etc as well. It's just reality.

I honestly couldn’t care what he or Cotch or Jack do in their final years. I just want to enjoy watching them play in their final seasons. It’ll be a sad day when the 3 are no longer on our list.

Yep, impact mid at crucial times, it's the ultimate role for him these days and he did it very well yesterday, made sure the clearance went our way into deep 50 a couple of times when we sorely needed it.

I'd much rather see him in and out of there quickly before the opposition can plan for it than attending a ton of centre bounces and having a pre-planned opponent literally hanging off him at every stoppage.

He was great yesterday one touch. Sometimes I wish he’d refrain from trying to bring others into the game and just kick it himself.

Of everything he did the best part was him arguing with the umpire. Means he is invested and wants to win.

Irreplaceable but when fully invested he is impossible to match up
