Will be interesting to see where they play him. He could play back and give us some drive. I think he has a few goals in him as well, so maybe half forward?

Disagree, our wing combo should be Martin and Duursma.

Saad should play half back or half forward IMO. Both are positional needs.
Starting wing combo yes. Suspect Martin will also play some half forward at times.

I don’t care if him and Martin play wing or half forward. We need goals from both of them. If our forward line converted more forward 50s the ball wouldn’t come flying back out like it does. Also we still need to replace stringers output. Some of stringers loss will be made up by pressure and run from his replacement, but I don’t think anyone will kick the team lifters from the boundary line.

Stringer as a forward averaged 1.7 goals a game. Guelf averaged 1.1 so if Guelf plays 20+ games he’ll be within 10 goals of Jakes output (plus give up far less going the other way)

As far as team lifters. Caddy and Draper are most likely for a BS goal. And Langford/Wright are Lazers

I thought I was the only one allowed to make fuzzy logic statements about how changes in personnel will impact scores (especially relating to missing Stringer’s 42 goals)?
Maybe stay in your lane…

I'd like possibility of our HBFs folding through the middle with wings sliding back to cover defence.

This has the potential of El-Hawli, Merrett, Martin, Redman, Ridley etc all delivering the ball towards/into our F50.

I have much more faith in these guys delivering the ball than I do Sheil, McGrath or Lav

If Guelfi held his 2024 per game average over 23 games he's still 16 short of Jake.
