There's an absolute clarity in the minds of the believers when they're asked to explain their nonsense too.

Just think of someone you know that is just an average person who isn’t all that smart, and then realise half the people in this world are much dumber than that.

They're all lining up there, most have some sort of MAGA paraphernalia, but when you try to look at them as individuals they're quite a mixed crew, but no one that is walking past that can hear her is stopping her from being a moron. I'd like to think at least some of them have normal thoughts too.

They've come to believe they are part of the same team, led by Trump, that is going to fight this ambiguous evil force that is directed right at them. There's a sense of pride that she's ascended to a level of knowledge that the interviewer doesn't have. There's a politeness about her sense of superiority, like the kind you get from god botherers that try to save your soul. She's not mad at him and I don't think she is acting condescending to him, although maybe a little exasperated about how much she has to explain.
