I know you're using the appeal to the middle here, but one was a deliberate salute, done multiple times with the clarification in hindsight that it actually meant something that has absolutely never been attributed to that salute. The other is where people have had to dig into (relatively) obscure incidents and freeze frame a half second in time.

There is no logical way you can equate these two, no matter how broad a stroke you paint it with.

The difference is, I don’t insult others for having a different opinion to me, I just get on with my day.

You can't create a logically consistent claim that a guy who's been constantly promoting neonazis for the last year and a bit suddenly performed a well-known salute but with an entirely new and personal meaning behind it. You can SAY he meant it, but you can't form a logically consistent argument for it.

ADL are not a great source when it comes to anything Israel, they are staunchly biased in their defence of all things they do wrong. Basically call any single criticism of Israel, or any support of Palestine at all, as being automatically anti semantic. But won't call out anyone who has political or economic connections to Israel, who says or does something wrong. I take the word of other Jewish groups and other Civil Groups when it comes to issues in Gaza, as they don't play the anti semantic card, and call out both sides fairly. They used to be good, and fair, but likely paid off by lobbyists now days.
