I know you're using the appeal to the middle here, but one was a deliberate salute, done multiple times with the clarification in hindsight that it actually meant something that has absolutely never been attributed to that salute. The other is where people have had to dig into (relatively) obscure incidents and freeze frame a half second in time.It was available, and also wasn’t used, on many platforms, on purpose.
You've been in here for a number of hours now, arguing in defense of a man who has platformed neonazis, supported the closest legal entity to the Nazis you're allowed to in Germany, performing an identical salute to what modern neonazis do. Multiple times. The difference is, I don’t insult others for having a different opinion to me, I just get on with my day.

There is no logical way you can equate these two, no matter how broad a stroke you paint it with.

Based on what though? You can't create a logically consistent claim that a guy who's been constantly promoting neonazis for the last year and a bit suddenly performed a well-known salute but with an entirely new and personal meaning behind it. You can SAY he meant it, but you can't form a logically consistent argument for it.Cool. And I still think what was said during his speech is valid, as is his tweet the next day
Okay:Come and quote me when the Jewish community are insulted by Elons “salute”.
An unelected billionaire who has an office within the Whitehouse and who has spent the last year pushing neonazi propaganda and supporting neonazis performing an action identical to a neonazi salute is a pretty jarring thing. That said, with the firehose of bullshit methodology the right wing carries on with these days, it wouldn't surprise me if there's something new soon.Otherwise I’m putting this one to bed. I’m sure there will be another new story tomorrow to be outraged about.

Or do you just look for responses that confirm your view?

...That's describing the ADL's response. Do you have any comment on the four other Jewish advocacy groups' comments? Or on the rest of the post you deleted? After previously feuding with Musk, the pro-Israel group rushes to defend his gesture, which critics compared with a Nazi salute.
Nice article, thanks for assisting me.

Activists say the contrast between the ADL’s hurried defence of Musk and its efforts to demonise Palestinians and their supporters shows that the group is more focused on silencing voices critical of Israel than it is on fighting anti-Semitism.
“They have made it as clear as possible that they are not a reputable source of information when it comes to anti-Semitism. They are not actually prioritising the protection of Jewish communities at all.”
Back at ya“The ADL say”
Back at ya
And you dont recognise your own pathetic desire to get the WBut hey, gotta get that W!
The first is Bend The Arc, a Jewish advocacy group who called Musk's action a Seig Heil. The first disagrees with the ADL and is a petition.
The second includes a quote from Jewish Voices for Peace. Another Jewish advocacy group, although anti-zionist one.The second states the ADL is a “hateful group” dedicated to smearing Palestinian rights advocates.
Yes, from the Jewish Council for Public Affairs. Another Jewish group critical of Musk's action of performing a facist salute. The third states that he made a fascist Roman salute.
Yes, another Jewish group saying that the ADL is incorrect to say there was nothing in the salue. The fourth states that the pro-Israel group Zioness Disagrees with ADL.
Not really. You asked me to get back at you when the Jewish community was insulted by Musk's actions. I provided four seperate groups who spoke out against it. You haven't addressed any of them. You really haven’t provided as much as you think. Are you done yet?
And you dont recognise your own pathetic desire to get the W
Not a chance, arrogance very much in the way.
At the end of the day, you’re entitled to your opinion and I respect it. You have your assumptions and I have mine.
Lol then make your point and stop postingA reply from me regarding why he won’t apologise:
This is what respectful debate looks like. I don’t need an online W to fulfil my life. Take a leaf.

Continuing to post the same position in the face of a knockback is the clearest sign you are posting for the W
Real "pigeon playing chess" effort there from adogsfan5 .

OK then don't reply to me.These are what you’re going with and you want respect from another poster when replying to you?

Concentrate on tone rather than the facts.
Elmo did the Nazi thing. It was so bizarre and shocking that many people thought it was AI generated to make him look bad.
Why on earth would I want to provide you with my time Chief?
Continues to engageI’m not annoyed. I just don’t particularly enjoy engaging with you if I’m honest.
I mean, you pretend to be all high and mighty, but then you protect racist moderators on this forum.
I agree - move onBit of a strange way to operate if you ask me.
To save his family members from the frivolous persecution Trump has openly said he would start with when he became president. Why did Biden pardon so many of his family members before he left office?
