Harris, although nowhere near perfect was the one to choose due to character among other things. Trump has no idea how to run anything that includes an economy and has never thought of anyone but himself so their suffering will not end.

The capitalist system, lack of decent healthcare etc is imo to blame. The gap between the uber wealthy and those poor souls working 3 jobs in the rust belt will only grow larger.

I’m not sure you will ever get it until you realise it’s not about character.

For the record, I have not used the word rape or convicted, he was found liable in a civil court for sexual assault and defamation and his counterclaim was dismissed.
Dismissing the counterclaim, a judge in New York, Lewis A Kaplan, said that when Carroll repeated her allegation that Trump r*ped her, her words were “substantially true”. Kaplan also set out in detail why it may be said that Trump r*ped Carroll.

That's true, but they cannot appeal to the working class because the Democrats are a party of Wall St and the military/intelligence apparatus.

The secret of Trump's victory lies precisely in the fact that he was able to exploit the social grievances of the working class, which has been smashed under the Democrats by real wage cuts and exploding inflation.

However, Trump's appeal to the working class was a total fraud. The program of Trump is a vicious and brutal counterrevolution against the workign class. Workers will be shocked by the extreme, laissez faire policies that Trump and his entourage intend to impose, through police state repression.

The USA is heading for extreme social conflict between the two major social classes: the working class, and the capitalist class (represented by both the Republicans AND the Democrats).

But spoke promise to those who are not. Something Kamala was incapable of doing because the establishment would not permit.
Geez you're making too much sense today lol. Spoke promise though nothing will change as he is incompetent and narcissistic to his rotten core.

Again I look to character especially as a father. Trump has zero moral compass so the rest of his 'policies' don't matter. When there's evidence of him owning his behaviour and thinking of others get back to me.

You look at character first most likely because you are not struggling to put enough food on the family table, and you are not working overtime and possibly a second job to try to do so

lol I’m having a day bro!

I suspect he will under deliver on his vision but we will have to see.

I get that as a father of 5, but politics is not and has never been about character at its core, it’s about power, it makes us feel nice when they say things we want to hear, but ultimately they are just ****ing with us.

eto be fair, Obama has some rumours surrounding him that i dont care to share because i don't believe it matters in politics.....
I look at what they do and not their personal life as much.
I thought Obama was going to be the greatest president ever and Trump the worst.

Joe Rogan has said Obama is the greatest president of his lifetime.

Is there any particular character trait or conviction, that you feel should disqualify someone from public office, or would make you not vote for them?

This is the reality of populist leaders vs establishment leaders.

My values about their character are completely seperate to this reality.

What rumours? I'm a little intrigued. I hope they don't stem from Qanon.

That’s not an answer. Is there anything a candidate could do, that would make you not vote for them, even if they were on your side of politics?

I don’t agree with the tenor of the post you responded to, but technically trump wasn’t ’convicted’ of rape was he?
Trump was found to have r*ped Carrol as per my other post at a civil trial. This was specifically clarified by the judge.

This was not a criminal trial and as we know rape very rarely results in conviction at a criminal trial.

Trump is a disgrace. A disgusting human being. Yet tens of millions - lots of them Aparently devout Christian’s - have chosen him as their man.

If you want to know how it ends refer to the 900 convicted “patriots” that Trump has not helped one bit. Although he will pardon them eventually - cause law and order and all that 🙄

Judging by the polling results, and the improved results for Republicans pretty much everywhere, those things matter and take precedence over whether late night comics start crying because a result didn't go their way.

Even worse than 2016, which was bad enough, is how far out of touch the Democrat party is. They're in a totally different world to now a clear majority of the country. They won't learn from it either.

End of the day you just want those in charge to do good things which benefit the majority of people.

Hmmm decent counterpoint...however...lots of his supporters are also not working 2 jobs and well off and should be more inclined to use morals as criteria to not vote or support him.
