Personal attacks are also to be kept to a minimum.

Just a reminder, even if it hasn't come up for a few pages and y'all should know this stuff by now:

This thread is not about Covid, lockdowns, or vaccines. It is about Donald Trump. While Trump was in office during the pandemic and his response to Covid is relevant, there are pertinent threads for you to post your opinions on those things in.

It might also do with reminding a few that when you post on the SRP, you are responsible for backing up/verifying your claims to fact. What this means is that you will be asked time to time to support your claims with evidence, to ensure that this forum is as free of misinfomation as we can make it.

Do not post conspiracy theories on this forum. We have an entire other forum for that.

Thanks all.

As always, please submit ideas for the thread title by tagging Gethelred! We're looking for something new to match the new thread!

I wouldn't call any of that 'appalling'.
Maybe its appalling for a Greens voter but for everyone else these are relatively mainstream.

Climate change - supports all energy sources including renewables. Like most people outside of Fitzroy, Brunswick and Glebe
Opposed to abortion - only after 20 weeks which is in line with most people I would have thought.
SSM - Her right to that opinion. I disagree personally but understand people who have that position.
Obamacare - well, it is rubbish to be honest
Poor on Covid - she was outspoken about masks and lockdowns. Hardly on her own there.
Lets religious beliefs impact on her clarity of thought - thats just a guess
Doesn’t accept the science that people are contributing to climate change and enacts things that support her view or blocks things that want to address it. (rejected money offer from fed govt to address climate pollution/didn’t take up offer of rebates etc for more energy efficient households)
South Dakota has some of the strictest abortion laws in the country and noem has not supported changes to make it broader and doesn’t support abortions for rape or incest victims.
Legalised the right to discriminate against LBGTQ- don’t have to serve people etc.
Obamacare care isn’t perfect but has enabled access to far more affordable health care for tons of people.
South Dakota had a disproportionate per capita death/ illness stat because of her stupidity.( 9th in America for deaths/ 3rd for cases )
Boasts about her 2 year old grandchild having multiple guns. Sheesh.
She’s a captain fizz. It’s a no thanks from me.
Happy to disagree that her views are mainstream- maybe in uneducated America they have more support than they should. The fact that you think only people from Brunswick and Glebe support climate action, well, I don’t know what to say.

You're on the internet, Use it. Its amazing what you can find
Exactly so should be easy for you to post! Maybe it is just old fashioned information and you can't back up your claim?
The sarcasm went over your head then?
So just another wiggle out?

Nope, you missed the point entirely, it's a demographic that is statistically right. doesn't matter which way you cut the mustard, it does not mean i hate black people, which i strongly do not hate or dislike. its just demographics.

Yes but when people use that argument what are they usually using it for, when it is framed the way you put it?

I think assuming everyone says these things in good faith is very naive at best.

This is where dog whistling begins, like an Andrew bolt, LNP politician will tweet something like that and let the comments session do the rest…

We will all be ok. The world is not going to end.

So you think it is inherently because they are black.

Thank you for your honesty.

I think there are issues with modern black culture that is significantly more prevalent than in white, Asian and hispanic cultures that lead to the outcomes we observe.

As long as that fact is dismissed as "racism" things will not improve.

Yeah. It’s called poverty.

There is a strong correlation between crime and poverty and substantial evidence that there is a causal relationship.

In the US, poverty afflicts different groups more than others. Unsurprisingly, you therefore find a higher incidence of crime.

Same as in Australia.

Fix poverty and crime rates will go way down.

Rocket science 101.

This was supposed to be the front page of The Onion but couldn’t run it because it turned out to be true
TBF: these were the sort of appointments he did in 2017. It's just that there were some actual professionals in there with him, so they weren't all this bad. DeVos - education, Zinke - interior, Pruitt - EPA....

Pfft. Why discuss poverty when you can blame rap music and single parent families, and stop the analysis there.

Mulvaney to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau should have suggested to people that maybe Trump isn't there for you.
