Just for context, that measles outbreak was 100x more deadly than 9/11 in per capita comparison. The measles outbreak which Kennedy encouraged and enabled killed 0.2% of the samoan population and made 11% of them sick.

Stupidity and misinformation has consequences, especially in the health sector.

The problem is that there's some sensible stuff mixed up in stupid stuff. Stem Cells are being suppressed by Republicans. Clean food (lack thereof) is caused by lax environmental laws usually from Republicans.
Sunshine and exercise is good and should be promoted, but it's not being suppressed.
Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine are not being suppressed either, they're just only being used where they've been proven effective.

But some of the other stuff is bonkers. he's more bonkers out of this tweet too.

So now that Trump has appointed a cooker (RFK jnr) as secretary of health, Tulsi Gabbard (a known Russian asset) as director of national intelligence (after being placed on a watch list!!) what position could Donny find for this nutter in his cabinet?

you forgot loz

Those factors apply to Hispanics and White as well.

57.6% of black children, 31.2% of Hispanic children, and 20.7% of white children are living absent their biological fathers.

Around 70% of balck children are born to a single mother

This wasn't always the case.

My point is not demonize the black comunity, but to find solutions.

The one progressive policy missing is a policy to promote the traditional nuclear family with mum dad and kids all living together. Reality doesn't care whether they like or not- and leftists don't like it- but the nuclear family remains the foundation of a strong and healthy society.

The left won't even acknowledge the traditional family because their party has been hijacked by extremists advocating for fringe groups and their grievances and is fearful of offending them.

Spare me the "Old fashioned, 1950's called etc" barbs. I've heard them all before.
I think your figures are off, or misrepresenting situations. Over half of black children live with a resident father, and the number of black children living without a father is at it's lowest since the 80s. I think you're also using statistics for children born to unmarried couples to mean that it's a single parent family without father involvement.

You may not want to demonise black people, but if you are at pains to dismiss external factors outright, then that's what you end up doing.

You can keep pretending that we progressives don't care about families, but the issues/areas I've mentioned and examples of Democrat (which isn't even that progressive) policies/proposals all act to reduce pressures on couples and families that lead to separation and breakdown, or unexpected pregnancies, or imprisoned fathers. They may even encourage people into relationships because they have less of other life pressures to consume them. If you don't want to bother acknowledging this or dismiss government action, because people should be able to do everything for themselves, then that's on you.

If rfk jr tries to get rid of maccas , his job security might be limited

Nearly three quarters of U.S. adults are overweight or obese, according to a sweeping new study. The findings have wide-reaching implications for the nation’s health and medical costs as it faces a growing burden of weight-related diseases.
The study, published on Thursday in The Lancet, reveals the striking rise of obesity rates nationwide since 1990 — when just over half of adults were overweight or obese — and shows how more people are becoming overweight or obese at younger ages than in the past. Both conditions can raise the risk of diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease, and shorten life expectancy.

Last week, Kennedy said he would “immediately” begin studying vaccine safety and efficacy but promised to not “take vaccines away from anybody.”

Doesn’t one normally begin studying safety and efficacy before making up one’s minds about them? Or read the literature from those who have already extensively studied their safety and efficacy?

He's going to ban any form of mandate or exclusion due to vaccination status including in the military. Probably even make it illegal to ask about vaccine status.

Which I guess would make a minority slightly more free, and more people more sick and dead.

We're about to get an example of this on New Zealand's road network where speed limits are going to be raised by 20 km/h, up to a 120km/h maximum on July 1st 2025. Conservative Governments, eh. Freedumb.

I'm not sure of your point.
Should he remove existing vaccines until he (more likely his advisers) have finished studying them?

All he wants is "the data so that he can show (vaccines) are unsafe".

Great understanding of the scientific method there. But also an admission that his claims thus far that they are unsafe are based on "a hunch" rather than actual evidence (however dubious that evidence is).

Does the level of irrational Trump hatred correlate to the number of X screen shots posted on this thread?
"Irrational" - adj, not logical or reasonable

You may not agree with people hating Trump, but it's an almighty stretch to argue that it's irrational.

My point is that vaccine safety and efficacy has been studied by thousands of scientists. There are thousands of published research papers with the results of their studies. Coming in with the mindset that he is right (despite not actually studying any data) and everyone else who has studied is wrong is a tad worrisome, don't you think. And somewhat arrogant and ignorant? Maybe even suggestive of a decades long conspiracy theory bought into by the many thousands of scientists who have spent their careers working in this field to collectively delude the American (and world) population into taking harmful vaccines?
