Still the worst and most chaotic presidency in modern times. I doubt his long list of flaws, scandals, impeachments, court cases and weirdness are in our imagination. The world not ending is a low bar to set and his lunacy shouldn't be normalised. I'm not worrying by the way :)
Politicians, both good and bad come and go.
Yes, its mostly in your imagination.
Amplifying all his flaws to hysterical levels and ignoring anything good.

This is everything that is wrong with politics.

Not sure what you mean by that. Albo has done little to save his own skin, if he loses the election, he can only blame himself.

Actually, the good thing about politics. People get to decide if you aren't doing a good enough job.

Where is the good? I'm not hysterical or imagining anything. Scandals, p**** grabbing comment, court cases, chaotic administration are all fact.

None of which have any impact on an average American's day to day lives.
People don't care about that crap. It gets the haters and elites all excited but most people see it for what it is.

One of the major reasons for him winning was that Americans felt they were worse off under Biden than under Trump. Now you can focus on the vacuous stuff but voters don't care about it. And Democrats need to get better on focusing on voters instead of trying to govern like they are in an episode of West Wing.

I'm no Democrat supporter FYI. I'm just very anti criminals, sexual predators and narcissist billionaires taking over government. Many Americans were hoodwinked into thinking they were worse off under Biden. The American economy has been roaring along for decades under all admins. Also Trump and Musk are the elites.

Damm those stupid people who don't understand how much day to day living is costing them. Why do we let them vote?

Yes, to paraphrase old Abe 'It's a government of billionaires, by billionaires, for the billionaires".

No, its not fact. Its your opinion.

Take a chill pill. Everything that you have been conditioned to believe will happen under Trump won't happen. Just like it didn't happen in his first term. Most sensible people know this.
I think it's trying to deny reality to say that Trump's first term wasn't characterised, using any number of yardsticks, by a high degree of chaos.

Let's hope Trump can bring down cost of living then but that doesn't really matter to most. It's all about the MAGA cult and whatever crazy thing Trump says they believe and copy.

Because the world did not end last time and most of us don't spend our time worrying about things that exist only in our imagination.
The world didn't end? Oh well, that's OK then.

The world also didn't end when Japanese militarism was ultimately defeated in 1945, but not before costing millions of lost lives. Doesn't mean we should all be OK with a future resurgence in Japanese militarism though, does it?

I'm not denying there aren't people doing it tough financially in the States but that's always been the case no matter which party holds the White House. That a mouthy, narcissistic billionairre is their answer to that is bewildering.

No its not.
Thats what is in your imagination.

Post polling time and time again has said the 3 big issues were (in order):

1. cost of living
2, illegal migrants
3. wokeness and its creep into their lives.

How is it bewildering?
Its not really that hard.

They simply compared their lives under Trump to their lives under Biden.
And the majority decided they were better off under Trump.

No denying Harris didn't pay nearly enough focus on cost of living.

The true idiocy though is concluding that means Trump was a better candidate to address CoL concerns. His idiotic tariff policy, for starters.

People get to decide if you aren't doing a good enough job.

People rarely have the full information on this. So they don’t really know if you are or aren’t.

They look at their individual situation and decide if they think they’ll blame the current government for it, whether they’re responsible for your situation or not.

Cost of living went up everywhere post COVID, anxiety about migrants is racist dog whistling and not a concern at all and the 'wokeness' you mention is a social construct and a weaponised term used against people who embrace diversity.

Not in my imagination. MAGA had people believing the government controlled the weather and that hurricanes are staged.

I don't doubt finances are a worry for many but that's always been the case. If Trump said that cost of living isn't an issue then his base will believe him no matter the truth. My point is it's a cult :)

Citation needed on no. 3 please, don't recall seeing that in any polling at any stage this cycle.

Why are we conflating what voters "felt" with whether Trump did good things or not?

There was Operation Warpspeed and some limited criminal justice reform, but other than that it's a struggle to find anything Trump did better than Biden or Obama before him. With the emphasis on "did", rather than vague gesturing to economic trends that were occurring in his presidency (mostly inherited from the previous administration and in some cases, bettered by the next, but still touted as comparative wins).

And we can point to plenty of bad actions that predict what another Trump term will be like, we don't have to rely on imagination.

Which really didn't affect the day to day lives of average Americans.

Some home truths in that article , that's for sure.
In a similar vein there is a lot of delusion from many Septics that the US is the greatest Country in the world - spare me.

Any Country that has mass shootings on a daily basis , school kids doing active shooter drills , many citizens without access to healthcare , calls residents illegal aliens and has widespread racism is far from the greatest in the world............
Yanks need to face what they have become.

Bold they won't though, they live in such an insular world, i am just recently back from a month over there, spent a fair bit in Texas. My wife and i like a home reno show that is on 9 life, that is based out of Laurel Mississippi, and on our drive from NOLA to Pidgeon Forge were passing through the town, so we stopped at one of the places filming takes place ( a handyman like store ), when one lady heard our accent, she commented to us, do you get this show in Australia, and their view of Australia mostly revolves around our so called dangerous animals ( spiders), a lot of the comments i got when they realized i was from Australia and not England was about Kangaroos fighting people, based on shit they see on fakebook and tik tok. And they genuinely believe kangaroos are the norm in the suburbs.

The few we had chats with on buses and the like could not believe how good our health system was compared to theirs, and were gob smacked when i told them about my recent gall bladder removal and how i did not pay a dollar for anything associated with it, yet they still voted for the person who wants to wreck it.

The dumb & gullible rule that country right now, exactly what Trump wants and played on to get back in charge.
