Doubt it. Most Americans couldn’t pick out the Middle East on a map.
More likely it was because DonOld told them they couldn’t afford bacon anymore.
This is totally untrue.

You cannot explain the massive flip undergone by regions with large Arab populations, (Dearborn, Michigan for example) which flipped from massively supporting Biden in 2020 to voting en masse for Trump this time.

They correctly view Harris and the Biden Admin as responsible for the genocide in Gaza and now the catastrophe in Lebanon.

They are disgusted with Biden and Harris, who both cry crocodile tears over the ongoing genocide, while continuing to fund it.

It is true that Trump likewise agrees with the genocide in Gaza.

But the nauseating hypocricy of the democtats and the disastrous state of the economy i for the vast majority of the population, became a deciding factor.

Im on my third whisky already tonight.

Really dont know how to proceed going foward.

This is utterly devastating and most of you have no idea how much the world has just changed. You will slowly learn in the years ahead.

The only way forward is to build a revolutionary party in the working class, within the US and internationally.

The result is only a devastating one if you have the belief that capitalism is permanent. It isn't.

The flames arent going to stay within the usa confines. In fact they will be worse elsewhere. Starting with ukraine.
I hope someone in the US has the balls to end it.
Not my country, but the US education system was held up to the torch of international scrutiny and failed miserably.

*ing depressing turn of events and I fear the next few years are going to be very bad on a global scale …couldn’t give a * what happens to America they get what they deserved in the end
what happens in America isn't confined to America, but will send shock waves across the entire world.

In this election the US population had the following choice:

1) A pro-genocide criminal who openly advertised her intention to continue to wring profits for Wall St at the expense of all of society

2) A fascist convicted felon who resorted to the most foul deception and lies by claiming that he would "Make America Great again" and rescue those whose lives have been economically devastated. Or by claiming that he will "end war".

Assuming that Trump does accede to the presidency in Jan 2025 (and no historic convulsion intervenes between now and then), when Trump comes to power, millions and millions of people will understand that Trump lied to them.

The backlash of millions will unleash a historic conflict within the US between the capitalist oligarchy and the working class.

And this will spread to the entire world.

I look forward to the US in flames.
You get what you deserve.

Such melodramatic comments from you two.. all because the candidate you wanted to win, lost.

The US going up in flames is bad for Australia. You can’t seriously look forward to seeing that.

Trump has been on record with what he’s going to do being a faccist on day one and punishing his political and public opponents with military repercussion

It isn’t a team sport I truly loath the man and his hateful minions …America made their choice and the consequences will be seen over the next few years as Trump has far more power this time with immunity from SOCTUS and a clear plan with Project 2025

They will get what they deserve in the end but sadly the flow on effect will be felt around the world

From the conspiracy theories i am now reading in the election thread, well done Dictator and King Trump. I look forward to seeing a head in a jar be a leader of the free world for the next 50 years. Hell, 100.
And feel free to change the title to - TRUMP 47. That’s all that needs to be said.

He needs to make it to January for the 47 to apply

They aren't "getting what they deserved"

They were offered an impossible choice: do you want to die by firing squad, or die by the noose?

But the working class in the US is a sleeping giant. You will see, the working class in the US has not suffered a defeat just because Trump has won.

When Trump becomes president, he will unleash a social holocaust against the working class. Millions of workers who rejected Harris will realise that Trump was a massive fraud, and will start to look for an alternative, anti-capitalist perspective.

In reality this thread should be entitled, not the decline of Trump, but the decline of US democracy.
Why did Trump win?
There are very good reasons, and they are all due to the policies of the Democrats, and their genocide enabling candidate Karmela Harris:

You think republicans are against Israel? Come on…

The working class will do **** all they couldn’t even go out in force to vote

That seems a level headed thought, totally not unhinged

I have already posted in relation to this.

If you are interested scroll upwards to see my reply.

No Trump is pro-genocide just as much as Harris.

But since both are the same on this issue, why wouldn't you vote for someone who you hope might improve the economy?

Yeah maybe there will be war in Ukraine and the Middle East, oh wait that already happened under Biden.

I disagree with you there.

The working class will be forced to come into struggle, because its very survival will be at stake.
I disagree they live paycheck by paycheck and are too scared to do anything that jeopardises that hence the minimum pay being stagnant for the last 30 odd years and the lack of voting force/protest for any sort of working reforms

The billionaires have beaten them down so hard with the false hope that they will be in that very small club one day

The mass deportation and tariff is going to make their lives even worse and they voted for this ..absolute idiots
