It's what we all, actual humans, have been saying about those PoS for a while now. Not long ago, the hurricanes. This shit is going to continue with new admin, with no-empathy types like Trump taking the lead. I wish he had a property in SoCal near the fire line.

To be fair, asking an American a question involving geography is probably bound to get an amusing answer…

Sadly, like on political information, so many Americans don't have a clue about the world, and their own country really. Back in my day, we had to know what region each state was in and its capital. I've always known about the world because my parents actually ventured out of upstate MN and got married in Guam in the 50s, and we had a sub to National Geographic as well. Traveling to Europe and China in my early 20s was also something even my friends in the relatively aware Seattle area or at college wouldn't have thought to do. Americans are way too insular and uncurious.

Hey Trumpers can you explain how Hegseth isn’t the equivalent of a DEI hire in your minds? He’s clearly unqualified and not being employed on merit.
It's cronyism, as with a bunch of his nominees.

Probably not DEI, but there should be more outrage from the types that bang on about merit, if they actually had any principles beyond a dislike of minorities.

While still resident in the UK, one year I saved up my annual leave for a month in New Zealand. I flew via the US and stopped over for a few days to see Washington DC.

When it came to catch my onward flight to NZ I was a little late to the airport and, panicking slightly, couldn’t find my way to the international terminal. I stopped to ask someone (who was work in in some capacity at the airport) where the international terminal was, and he asked me where I was headed.

“Auckland”, I told him.

“Oh, you want the domestic terminal then. California.”

“No,” I explained. “Auckland”, emphasising the ‘ork’ at the start.

He looked at me blankly. “Never heard of it.”

I mean, how is it not? Yes, the caveat is it's one handed to him on a platter by Biden. Trump's name is being cursed by the most hardline Israeli right, but in the end he didn't want to have this issue on his plate come inauguration day and so called the shots.

It's the same deal Hamas agreed to in July that Netanyahu torched as Biden stood by. He should be shot into the sun on Monday.

Please help me bridge the gaps here.

Trump should not and cannot be blamed for global unrest etc.

Biden should be blamed for it.

Trump should be credited for any peace deal from Israel (even if bullshit).

Biden should be shot into the sun?

Interesting. Those Americans I’ve met (mostly from travelling through SE Asia) have mostly been fantastic worldly people who as an Aussie I’ve felt a real kinship with. As my late grandmother used to tell me - if it wasn’t for the Americans we’d all be speaking Japanese.
Before I started out travelling in the 90s we were always warned about the loudmouth yanks but in my experience the Americans were great people, it was the loudmouth Brits who still believed Britannia ruled the waves. Very obnoxious. Obviously you get idiots from everywhere, just depends on time and chance.

The opposite to be honest in my back packing days through Europe as a generalization though.

An example was when travelling for a few weeks with a Canadian, German and American through the Greek Islands. We would talk about our countries at times and the American was dismayed by the fact that she knew very little compared to the rest of us regarding other countries.

Now, I'm no economist and numbers are a silly thing...but in what way does this not result in the average American having to pay more for anything that is imported, and that is a lot of shit.
Waiting for elon and vivak to cut the staff in 2 weeks time

A few interesting takes on Twitter from trump stans assuming that trump is also going to get rid of the IRS and drop income tax for Americans

Wonder how long before they realise this is very much not the case

Biden has been in office the entire time that the genocide has been going on. He has gone out of his way to send enormous amounts of weapons to the Israelis to ensure this has happened.

Trump’s team had involvement in the current negotiations. Let’s hope the reports of a deal are correct. This is the main change between this and previous negotiations.

I don’t think Trump cares about Palestinian lives, but if he put his foot down for the sake of appearance that’s still a positive outcome. Biden didn’t think he appeared poor for the past 15 months.

Alternatively, let’s speculate and give Trump the worst possible story. Nixon in 1968 sabotaged Vietnam peace talks and Reagan in 1980 orchestrated an underhanded delay in the hostage release to assist them in winning the election and having the triumph for themselves. Let’s say Trump did the same with Netanyahu and had him wait until now to agree to a ceasefire to make Trump look better.

The outcome of that is Trump is a monster, which isn’t surprising, and that Biden (also known to be a monster following his continued feeding of the weapons of genocide) fell into a trap that’s hurt his party irrevocably as Trump can now claim the credit.

So Biden facilitated a genocide and potentially allowed Trump to come into office with the narrative of stopping his genocide. The harm Biden’s done for the side of politics you and I are more sympathetic to is immense. So yes, shooting him into the sun seems a fair punishment for the trail of dead children and ideology he’s left behind him.

‘Slimming down the public service’

These bureaus have to cover their costs, so if they are mis managed, up go the taxes
