Specifically: reference to TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) and its counterpart 'Trumpanzee' or anything similar will no longer be allowed.

Personal attacks are also to be kept to a minimum.

Just a reminder, even if it hasn't come up for a few pages and y'all should know this stuff by now:

This thread is not about Covid, lockdowns, or vaccines. It is about Donald Trump. While Trump was in office during the pandemic and his response to Covid is relevant, there are pertinent threads for you to post your opinions on those things in.

It might also do with reminding a few that when you post on the SRP, you are responsible for backing up/verifying your claims to fact. What this means is that you will be asked time to time to support your claims with evidence, to ensure that this forum is as free of misinfomation as we can make it.

Do not post conspiracy theories on this forum. We have an entire other forum for that.

Thanks all.

Congrats Royces Hart on the new thread title!

The law doesn’t require criminal evidence or a trial for deportation in cases like this; it’s enough that the Secretary of State, backed by the Trump administration, sees Khalil’s activism as a threat to U.S. foreign policy. His protests at Columbia, which they tie to Hamas sympathies, aren’t just speech—they’re actions that clash with national interests. The Immigration and Nationality Act gives the government wide latitude here, and they’re using it.

Which is fascistic.

If they get away with deporting him for utilising his right to free speech (as you note, it is legal in the US for someone to say that Hamas is good, which there is also no record of him having said), then rest assured they will feel empowered to do it to anyone whose speech the government doesn’t like.

It seems to be a case of it doesn't really matter.
The fact that you can do away with due process to get rid of people that you don't like says everything you need to know about people.
They dont want justice. They want their justice and rules be damned.
It is going further down the fascist road and too many are too happy to see people suffer because they are suffering themselves.

That is a slippery slope fallacy.

Clearly the Supremes are going to have to do some soul-searching soon, because they will surely have to make a decision on Trump trampling of the justice system and Constitution. They're are educated enough to know what's going on, and the precedents they will be setting.
They will absolutely have to make the choice between the Constitution as it has been interpreted for 200 years with its checks and balances or this Unitary Executive Theory thing. Trump has his orc army going full steam ahead, damn the courts. The legislative branch has already abdicated its powers.
If the Deep State is listening, it might be a good time go forward and defend yourselves.

And he is completely ignorant as well. "China is well Chinese people." There are hundreds of ethnicities across China, Uighur, Tibetan, other Turkic groups across Xinjiang, the SW has a bunch as well, the Kejia (Hakka)... It's called Han chauvinism and ethnic cleansing here. Nobody is okay with it except the Han Chinese.
All in the name of the poor Caucasians.
Exactly, I was going to go into it but couldn't at that time of morning on little sleep so settled for "inane". Any state that puts caveats on citizenship or specific laws based on ethnic/religious profiling is already on the slippery slope.

I’m not optimistic, especially after reading the bizarre minority dissent from Alito when he described as stunning the majority decision to agree that the US government should really pay contractors for services rendered.

One pundit thinks there are two justices "in the bag" for Trump and maybe one more. Which makes those other three conservative justices more important for the future of the judiciary and it's ability curb the executive.

Thomas and Alito are absolutely in Trump’s bag. A case could be a more egregious curtailment of rights for Black Americans and Thomas would still vote with Trump.

But I think Gorsuch and Kavanagh are right beside them. They both joined Alito and Thomas in that case that really should have been an easy 9-0 decision.

So there’s a lot riding on ACB, especially as a newish member of SCOTUS and, sadly, as a woman. I read that she received a lot of blow back in MAGA world after that recent decision, including being labeled as a DEI hire.

I keep thinking about how their billionaire friends handlers are reacting this shit show, or the Federalists/Heritage. Are they cool with this restructuring of the government? I find it hard to believe that this is their vision of America, but I may be wrong.
The nightmare scenario is that they think they can control any POTUS when he/she is no longer balanced by two other branches? Didn't work in Germany. Didn't work in Russia.

I agreed with the post until it said millions of conservatives need to violently die in order for the country to be righted.

I can see why you think that post went too far... but let’s be real. The deaths probably won’t come from a civil war, (or at least not all of them) they’ll come from conservatives voting themselves into economic collapse, medical ruin, and ecological disaster.

They elected Trump, worship Musk, now back RFK Jr, and flirt with Putin, all while slashing healthcare, blocking pandemic responses, defunding education, and gutting public infrastructure. They are the architects of their own suffering, and unfortunately, they’re dragging everyone else down with them.

It won’t be a war that kills millions, it’ll be superbugs, poisoned air, unaffordable insulin, collapsing hospitals, climate chaos, and deregulated corruption. And they’ll cheer it all the way to the grave, because “owning the libs” matters more than feeding their kids or funding a local clinic.

So yes, the post was crude. But the outcome? Mass death via ballot box. You don’t need bullets when Fox News can convince people to suicide by drinking the kool-aid.

"WE DON’T WANT VICIOUS, VIOLENT, AND DEMENTED CRIMINALS"

No we do not, so goodbye Donald.

How about the dick measuring drive by on Obama? Donny more insecure than a 15 year old.

The U.S operated quite a few 'black sites' in Eastern Europe. From Moscow's jackboot to Washington's, the song remains the same...

Yeah renditions part of of the US playbook.
Not much due process or rule of law shown then, not much shown now.
Pretty sure the TdA,MS-13 guys didn't come to the US to pick grapes and oranges in California.
