One word that described it for me to be honest. Rather than focusing on his brilliant career they used the 10 mins to turn it into a who should coach North fiasco, and pushing him to coach next year was almost as bad.

The claim that he doesn't want to break Archer's record is the bit that really gets to me. That is extremely humble - not many players would pass on the chance to be the club record holder.

I don't think it has anything to do with Arch's record.

To me it just seems like his had enough and can't be bothered going on for another season, which you could fully understand after 15 years at the top level.

I know that he has aspirations, but it was pretty clear from the first question he hasn't decided what he's doing next year, so why push the issue? They really didnt even touch on his playing career at all, and to be honest I think Caro asked the best questions as much as it pains me to admit it.

I stand by my claim, it was the worst structured interview ive seen in a long time, and not because of Simmo, it was all the panels fault.

Nothing wrong with the interview. Some people are becoming too media sensitive by the look of it. The only thing I found "wrong" was the amount of make up they have put on Simmo. He was practically unrecognisable. Now I understand they need to do that for Caro every week, but I reckon Simmo would have looked just fine without it...

I've listened to all of the interviews with him since he announced his retirement this morning, and I've waited for the first idiot who couldn't help themselves...........what a surprise...............MR headline grabber HIMself....CARO!

Congratulations to the Roos, Adam and you North blokes on a wonderful career from a great player. Personally, I think it's a bit of a shame that Adam couldn't have played on for one more season (as an outsider I think he's been one of your very best and most consistent this year, especially since Harvey's injury and the Laidley resignation).

The sudden nature of Simmo's retirement reminds me a lot of Peter Bell's retirement last year - I think both could have played on another season and done well, yet it is a tribute to both that they were prepared to go out mid-season to let some of the fringe players and kids have a go.

You don't need me to tell you that Simmo's a class player that represents all that is great about your club. At least you guys can get along to the game (or watch it on telly) knowing it will be his last - something we didn't know in Belly's case.

I don't mind how people pronounce words like grant and transfer but be consistent or you'll give yourself away as a try-hard w***er. Garry has problems with consistency.

As for make-up on Simmo and Caro, I think the make-up artiste from the local mortuary might be moonlighting at Footy Classified. Caro looked especially "harsh" (and that's saying something).

it was a disgrace as soon as this question was asked and for the others on that panel that have two less balls than caro should of put the interview back on track.
