Has to be captain next year, he's ready. Maybe he isn't the most talkative bloke, i dont know, but on field he's oozing leadership.

I can't see Luke wanting all the extra speaking and PR commitments that come with the captaincy. The role is as much diplomat as footballer.

Larkey would lap it up though although I quite like the idea of Jy as solo skipper.

Nah FK that. Im aware WTF i said and of course its just a term used not to be taken literally. I picked up during conversation somebody might be trying to do just that which is flipping petty if they were, so i had to clearly state IF he wants it and IF he's signed on long term. Which to any REASONABLE person should go without saying.

If i sound insulted by your comments, theres a very good reason, because it is insulting. To suggest im such a flipping idiot id force captaincy on someone can be taken no other way.

On the Garry and Tim show this morning Tim Watson was discussing that we are 5 years away from being up there with the big boys. Garry Lyon disagreed with him and corrected him to say that we are two years away. With Sheezel Warlord LDU and McKerch all there we have the foundations to be something great. (Garry also dived into talking about Duursma and said how good he is going to be, stated that he’d love to see Clarko bring him back as a HBF to get his hands on the footy)

Surely LDU would be seeing this and licking his lips. What other club would match us in the engine room in a couple of years?

Lyon nailed it, Watson is miles off.
Next year id like to think we're a chance for finals, but to be realistic in that 10 to 14 bracket is more likely.
The following year (26) we absolutely should make finals.
Then any coming years after that we should be considered by bookies and the wider media as legit contenders.

I also agree with him on Duursma, or more like he agrees with me given i said as much during the week.

Just keep the current arrangements for a year, then when LMac goes to year to year contracts it can be Jy solo until Harrance is ready

Warner has had one or two games that might be above LDUs peak. His 100th percentile performance might be higher.

But LDU is more consistently better, in my opinion. And in a tougher situation. Although, he is two years older and some may predict that Warner will develop that consistency.
