A new Dank interview

I wonder about the timing of his interview? After Hird saying no to further legal action.

Essendon's PR initially blamed a rogue operator...which I assumed was Dank, before moving on to blame the AFL and ASADA etc.

Couple of points from that interview.

I remember reading somewhere he said he could exonerate the players? I thought that meant he had the records to clear them ...but naturally he didn't but he now says that the records were left at Essendon?

He said there were more than 6 people at the club who knew what was going on....to me that is clear threat!! Take me down and I will take you along with me

I could never understand why the EFC have never gone after Dank legally?

This idiot Dank is good mates with Bruce, who is good mates with Hird and after realising that ...Im thinking ahead, if EFC dismiss Hird, he won't go quietly, he will take the club and others down with him.

If Hird has dirt on others, does that mean the coaching job is his as long as he wants it? Who is left at Essendon that can be implicated? Doc Reid? Most of the others have gone but I guess some can be hurt professionally still.

I was shocked not to hear "detailed programmatic specificity" pop up. Clearly this is Dank waving at Essendon and saying "I'm still here and don't forget this when you go into the next phase". RRR was probably ideal as the interview could be kept quiet until it went to air and circumvented the commercial media's need to ramp the interview to the max.

The statement on the number of people in the know was probably close. The rest of it.. well Fair shake of the sauce bottle, it was all fiddle faddle

If Essendon players get off there wont be a next phase for Essendon

If Essendon players get banned they may very well go after Dank. What would Dank have against the club or players when theyve already been found guilty of doping?

Of course the problem was/is they show TB4 was injected into players

So the only course of action was to get rid of them and claim they didn't exist

There are three possible outcomes

1. Not guilty
2. Guilty but limited suspensions e.g. 3 real AFL rounds or so
3. You're f#$^d

If 1 or 2 then expect ASADA and WADA to appeal
If 1 or 2 or 3 expect Workcover and possible DHHS to start working your team over
If 1 or 2 or 3 expect expect further litigation from a number of parties over time

Whichever path you select, Dank has a number of reasons to keep Essendon and James towing his line. If the players get done then it will be lawyer central at the Flower Drum with parties suing each other left right and center. This is quarter time in this saga Mxett, and I humbly suggest you rehydrate and get your nodoze ready for the second quarter.

he's trying to save at least a shred of his ruined reputation, and basically doing the complete opposite in the process. The BS meter just goes off the scale whenever he utters a word

He also has said that TB4 shouldn't be banned. Why don't you ask those guys on your boards why he is never asked point blank if he gave TB4 or not? I would assume it is a condition that he has placed for granting the interview. After all, isn't that what the tribunal is about?
