The opposite to when Maynard KO'd Brayshaw last year and they were all doing their best to get him off with just a slap on the wrist.

I’m not defending it. No doubt it was a dog act. My point is there is a clear ‘penalty’ applied to certain teams and players and ‘discounts’ to others.

Easy with the dog act crap there champ. Hall on Staker is a dog act. Gaff on Brayshaw is a dog act. This is not even close to those.
BTW they were 7 weeks and 8 weeks suspensions. Powell Pepper would have been 3 if they had pleaded guilty. Taking those into account, 5 for Jimmy.

He’ll play round 1 because it’s more than 10 days away, impact will be severe and rightly so.

Haven’t seen anyone suggest Simpkin won’t play again but directly causing a concussion with a late hit to the head whikst a player is unprotected leaving your feet to do so is about the worst thing you can go in modern footy (short of Gaffing it which is a total rarity now).

I’d suggest defending Webster’s actions at all is pretty futile, defend him as a person and note this is a brain fart but the action itself is indefensible.

He was suspended for eye gouging in 2017. I was appalled by that at the time, the footage is grim in terms of potential for damage to the Freo player.

Without wanting to really get stuck into it, honestly I have a very different view of Jimmy's fairness as a player compared to a lot of the takes going around here. I see this as far from his first brain fade or incident.
