I have a mate there, I think typically they arrive NYE so they can celebrate.
I went down there yesterday. Saw a few boats coming in from up on Mt Nelson and then went down to the docks and watched few more. Two of the kids enjoyed it at least. lol.

It was a bit subdued. Not everyone was partying like other years, after a couple of deaths and some serious injuries.

it this potentually the goon of the future, bit cheeky using a wine based sachet to sidestep the higher excise...

watch the govenment amend the wine duty when these get popular,

BigFooty friends, come with me through the snack aisle on a journey of hope and disappointment...

Having traveled through the United States a lot previously, I have always been a huge fan of the 'Cheetos Cheddar Jalapeno' flavour.

Whenever friends or family travel to the US, I always ask them to bring me back a bag, as I truly believe they're the best snack chip in the world.

In the last few years, more and more convenience stores here in Australia started selling the imported US version, albeit at quite a premium price (often $10-12 for a bag). Which was pretty exciting and something I was prepared to pay for an occasional treat.

Then today, I saw that 7/11 started selling them, and at quite a comparatively low price to the premium 'imported' version ($5). So I bought some and... to my immense disappointment, they tasted awful.

I was confused so looked at the packaging to see if perhaps they were past their expiry date or something, only to realise that these versions were manufactured in Australia by Smiths.

Mates, I don't mean to be rude or disrespectful, but Smiths have absolutely ruined the flavour of these Cheetos. They taste absolutely nothing like their original American version. These locally made ones don't have the distinctive 'spicy cheddar' flavour, and for some reason have an overwhelmingly artificial/chemical "tanginess" type flavour that renders them literally inedible.

They probably took out the cancer causing chemicals that are probably in the american version due to deregulations.

Bastards. Give me the chemicals!

Sprays a fine mist in the air to cool you down. They use them on terraces in Europe a lot. Love em.
Yeah I just clarified that.

Dunno about cooling. Don't imagine water supply size or how you maintain pressure when the power goes out matters as much then.

I'm guessing koshari supplies his house with water from a tank using a domestic constant pressure pump.
Aye, we do have access to dam water also but have plenty of potable water available. Can also transfer water between the barns setup and the house. 110 thousand litres in Total.

Silly buggers that were here before us didnt even have the machinary shed connected to the tanks . That shed alone has more catchment than the house and stables combined so i ran some stormwater pipes from there pretty quickly.

The new misting kits appear to have push fittings which is a bonus.

There's a whole bunch of things you need to take into consideration if you're using them for fire protection and that's when having enough water (and getting it to the sprayers in potentially psycho conditions) becomes vital as well. I don't imagine using them for cooling is anything like that in terms of getting coverage right and maintaining the supply of water.

Its crazy the way people don't connect water tanks to their sheds. It happens alot and as you say the catchment is usually massive. Altho there was a period in the last 20 years when water tanks were hard to get and had long waiting lists for supply, possibly longer ones for delivery. That might explain it.

Nah definitely nothing like what fire protection would require. I would only be looking to applying it to the area i sit out under. The mininum 7m kit would cover it in spades.

Legionnaires and potential rotting of timber might be the only concerns other than being able to install it where doesnt look ghetto.

The kit looks to include a valve that looks to address water being stored in the tubing long term.

And agree completely about the crazyness of not harvesting that shed water. To make matters worse it was all flowing into the main gate junction between the yards, barn and shed creating a quagmire at the smallest shower. Even if it was scarce to get tanks in this scenario there were already existing tanks plus worse case they could have even drained it to a paddock!
