If it's about the go home factor you're competing with about 8 or 9 clubs. I imagine that'll be enough to push the price up.
8 or 9? Cats? No. Dees? No. Dogs? No. Pies? Don't have any picks and need to find some for Daicos, No. Doubt he'd go to Hawks or North. Saints need to hit the draft badly. If it's about the go home factor you're competing with about 8 or 9 clubs. I imagine that'll be enough to push the price up.
we may.. we may not.
One thing for sure, is that if he chooses to go home, all 10 clubs will make offers.
Who ever he chooses will get it done. Teams won’t let a guy like Cerra get away, even if it means paying a touch over.
people worry about the draft picks too much. I’ll take a known commodity like Cerra based on his output and his age any day over a speculative top 5 pick.
obviously you get your sure things like Rowell, but they are rare.
Why would they pay ' A touch over'
As you said Cerra makes his choice and doesnt really matter if there is 1 club or 10
Freo & the club of choice deal and get it done
Out of contract and wanting home freo really just take what they are given and will be fair trade but wont be top 5 -6 pick like trade
He is 'nice' player but he is not chris judd buddy franklin dustin martin. pick value roughly #10-#12 is about the best freo will get
He is a nice player and i really hope he stays at freo for another 3-4 years , Not a priority for Richmond in 2022
What would be a fair price to pay (non-tigers and dockers fans)?
We have 2 firsts this year (Richmond and Geelong), two seconds (St Kilda and Richmond) and two thirds (Gold Coast and Richmond).
I’d be happy to start with offering our two firsts and our third. Perhaps a final offer of two firsts and Gold Coasts third.
This would probably see them end up with 2 picks around 13-18, and one around 40.
Seems like a lot for one player and would set Freo up for the future if they like this draft but Cerra is a good one and if he keeps improving, will be worth it.
because in a stalemate someone has to give, and I guarantee it’s the team who wants the player. Generally if a talent like Cerra wants in, you get it done. Teams don’t tend to try hold others over a barrel, these things bite teams in the ass. Future trades and other teams will notice.
Richmonds 2 firsts plus maybe a 2nd back would be about right.
I'm yet to see you have an unbiased Richmond take on anything.Dreaming
Yeah, there would be no 2nd back.Dreaming
Because the 2 x 1st are not happeningYeah, there would be no 2nd back.
Picks 1 and 2 = 2 x first roundersBecause the 2 x 1st are not happening
keep Cerra he is no Judd mate
Thanks for that as i thought they were exactly the samePicks 1 and 2 = 2 x first rounders
Picks 12 and 17 = 2 x first rounders.
There's a massive difference between the two.
What do you honestly see his value as, for perspective, you've seen neutrals say him and Bolton are close to worth the same in value. Would you let Bolton go for pick 12?Because the 2 x 1st are not happening
keep Cerra he is no Judd mate

Dreaming , I would say our earlier 1st and possibly St Kilda's 2nd which looks like #23-#25
Richmond will be looking at getting 1 of the west australian tall fowards JVR/Williams/Bazo

With their age and output, both are worth a pick around 5, both are young stars. Richmond nuffies will say Bolton is worth more, Freo nuffies will say Cerra.
I sh*t you not, if Cerra does go to Richmond, and Bell doesnt get at least your two first picks this year (which are picks in the teens), I will find Bell, I will kick him in the nuts and will never give Freo another dime until they kick Bell out.
Edit: He is absolutely not a pick 10-12 player
I wouldnt say no to making a bet with you 1 of the 3 are still on the board at our pickthe west Australian fwds that may be gone by the time you have a pick?. Haha.
literally not dreaming, it’ll likely happen if he nominates
So why did Saad go for pick 8, he was uncontracted and not worth near that. At a point in quality, the contract status means little, what means more is the picks the buying team has. Cerra is young quality, Bolton is young quality, both would go for a pick around 5 at minimum. They are both in similar boats as Treloar when he left GWSI would hate that and wouldnt want to let him go for pick 5 but uncontracted and wanting to go home to a particular player you dont have a choice
Wave good bye and there is a very likely chance that will happen in the future
Oh and i rate Bolton higher than Cerra

NoYou're correct. If the picks are in the teens it will be three first round picks.
