Take their chances with the PSD, and keep a full draft hand while Essendon lose a top-3 B&F player for nothing (or redraft a guy who doesn't want to be there).

It cracks me up how people think Carlton take on all the risk here.

Carlton does have form did with it Jack Martin.

No club or player will want to deal with Carlton anymore if the only way to get there is via the psd

It's scummy business threatening the psd

And arksing for Walsh, McKay or Curnow + 7 for Saad is a sound list managers gambit for a running half back flanker?
Your pedestal is lacking in foundation friend!

What if both Cats and Lions say no to 7 then what? they will have no choice but to trade 7
Pick 7 > Bombers
Saad and a late first > Carlton

* Assuming Essendon get two late first round picks for Daniher from Brisbane.

Funny that we did a trade with Gold Coast on draft night...

Well, club legend SOS on Trade Radio today announced that it's on Carlton to get the deal done and expects Pick 7 to do it. Mentioned that list managers look at net result and said if the Blues were to secure Williams and Saad for Pick 7 then they've done well out of trade week.

Hard to argue with his experienced and unbiased point of view.

Not as scummy as expecting your business partners to give in to insulting demands and then bitching to the media when they rightly refuse.

He's right, pick 7 will be involved to do it. Doesn't mean your mob are getting it.

Certainly p7 can complete the Saad, but there’ll definitely be a sweetener back our way, that’s the intriguing bit.

Oh, I didn't realise that Carlton had threatened the PSD.

If you could provide a link to an article or report suggesting that's the case, it would be most appreciated.

We'll throw in a pick upgrade or two if it comes to that. Whatever we get for Fantasia might play a part if it's not being used in the Caldwell deal.
Lol
“We’ll throw you guys a bone if it keeps you happy”.
Delusional

How are Essendon involved with the Williams FA acquisition?
