The mudslinging is boring and we’re done with it, folks. Play nice or go to your rooms.

Stop inventing things that others have supposedly said. Stop playing the man. Get the nicknames in the bin.

Talk with your fellow posters about your views on coaching, footy dept staffing and the gameplan. Don’t tell them what they said, don’t trawl for dirt, don’t sling shit. Have your say and let someone else have theirs. Nobody is a better fan than anyone else, nobody has anything other than their version of the best interest for West Coast at heart.

Play nice or don’t play at all. Easy stuff guys.

The club management have one very simple question to ask, do they believe Adam Simpson will be our next premiership coach? If the answer is no then we may as well move him on now.
Broadly agree provided the person they believe is the next premiership coach is available as his replacement.

If they think Simpson isn’t it, but nobody out there is either, and they also think Simmo is the best to develop the players we have who they hope will make up the core of the next team, I get the argument for sticking around despite not expecting another flag from him.

Not saying that’s the case, just saying swapping out Simmo for someone they’re equally unconvinced about re: flag potential means the question has to change, and it then becomes who gets us closest in a developmental way.

I honestly can't even get my head around talking about coaching and having Buckley and Simmo in the same sentence as Clarko. Simmo and Bucks have it all still to prove and do. Bucks may never ever get the chance again.
Clarko is still the most wanted football man on the planet.
Talking about their longevity not their credentials, it matters not, after a period of time coaches get stale.
Clarko in his own words confessed to being stale at the club.

Think he has 3 years left on his contract.
You really think WC would be prepared to pay him out around 3 millions dollars?

Don’t believe so but I can’t argue with the sentiment of them wanting to move on a coach that they don’t think is their next premiership coach. Not saying it will happen given contract and payout, but that should be the way the club is thinking at all times - is this getting us closer to our next flag.

I’m also not saying they think that re: Simmo. They may well think he’s the best option for flag number five. But if they don’t, I have no issue with the sentiment of why let it linger with a guy you’ve decided is no longer the guy.

Everybody dial it back.

The discussion has actually been pretty good given the nature of yesterday’s loss and the growing sentiment particularly over the last few weeks.

Leave the personal attacks at the door.

Can we collect them on our way out?

I'm hearing you.
But a decision to sack him 3 years out would also make the board look bad, seeing as they recently extended him.

I think Simmo has enough runs on the board to give him at least next year.

Media across the country are laying into the Eagles and the coach(ing) calling them embarrassing, putrid etc
You'd expect a mighty return volley from the whole playing group this next game, at home, against the Demons?
You'd expect any normal team to come out blazing with wounded pride and all that stuff.
But who knows what to expect from this enigma of a team and coaching staff?
They have to pick themselves up off the deck, make a statement and not rollover 'again' FFS?
What can Simmo muster up, any rabbits left in the hat?

One week to show they can is not enough now, sustained week after week high performance is the only thing that can help them escape what they deserve.

Hmm, pigs might fly...
1. they wobble and stagger out before finals and collapse in an embarrassing heap.
2. they make finals and get knocked out first game or first game against a top 4 side.
--------------------------------------
3. (mega-fantasy) they somehow get their mojo back from one week to the next and go deep into finals.
At this stage you can't imagine them beating any team above them, let alone top 4, a different league.
At this stage they stand to get thumped by Freo...

I think the only realistic chance we have is if covid kicks off and we get a final series based in Perth. Still wouldn't be confident. We are a shambles atm

Demons by 14 goals.

Demons by 14 goals.
Well, you have to say everything points to that!
Let alone the fact that the Demons would love to whack Eagles at Optus for that humiliating finals loss they endured. But at this point Demons don't even need that motivation.
