Possibly. Feels a lot like The Worst connecting the dots after Paul Fitzpatrick spoke to Code and not them. Whenever someone from the club speaks on radio, press conference or similar, The Worst takes the content from that conversation and turns it into an article.

Fitzpatrick did the rounds apparently, it wasn't a Code exclusive. Seven (ie SevenWest media) were included

I don't know how to say this properly.

Is Fitzpatrick part of the problem.as well. Old, stuck in his ways, steady as she goes, no new ideas?

And no offence to the elderly.
Fitzpatrick's relatively new in the role. it gets rotated every few years.

Schofield often represents WC on radio segments recently .
If WCE change the coach maybe Schofield is the man as an interim coach trial for 18 months ......saves money after 18 months still no good we go for Clarkson or similar big name coach .
Promote from within!
Not sure that'll appease those that want the rebuild completed before the end of this season😂
There's literally not a coach in the system that could do anything with what we have available at the mo.
It's almost as if some don't understand that we can't even train effectively with the amount of players available.
A new coach will make zero diff at this stage.

It was also the weakest team we've ever fielded. You could argue it was one of the weakest ever fielded by any club in the AFL.

Allow me to regale you with some highlights:

Harry Edwards hacking blind kicks to 30m from 10m out to watch them immediately go back over his head for goals
Harry Edwards dropping chest marks 10m out from goals
Josh Rotham being side stepped by a 200cm key forward with ease
Jake Waterman diving for marks then lying on the ground without any semblance of a second effort
Jack Petrucelle muffing a bounce with little pressure running into open goals
Connor West watching the half back line run out of defence all day unable to keep up
Greg Clark dropping uncontested marks
Andrew Gaff unable to kick the ball forward with 3 open players streaming into our forward line.
team kicking efficiency in the 30% mark

The kids are the least of our problems right now. The capability of guys who have been trying to be professional footballers for 3-5 years or longer not being able to execute basic skills quality ammos footballers can is. The frustration isn't in the fact we're losing, it's how. These players listed are not kids and what is being served up simply isn't acceptable for an AFL team.

My hope would be that they identify and appoint his successor at the end of this season so he can deputise for 12 months before taking over

Whilst he’s* waiting in the wings he can spend time casting an eye over the entire operation with a fresh set of eyes to identify potential improvements

*Or she if we choose a female CEO

But Toddy’s been doing his apprenticeship for 25 years?

I’ve watched Fitzpatrick’s interview with Ryan Saniels and the Ask Simmo segment with Schofield, and I'm even less convinced than I was an hour ago that the club realises just how bad yesterday was.

Sorry, what are you basing this massive leap of logic on?
If the Board was united behind Nisbett and thought he was the right man then why would they nominate an end date to his tenure at all? They certainly were not kean to put any kind of timeframe on it before this weekend. And if they were united in thinking Nisbett needed to go then they would sack him now. And if they were united in being unsure of what to do they could just not make a decision at the present moment and have another meeting to discuss it at seasons end.

But they have done none of the above. Instead they have decided that he needs to go and definately won't be getting another contract, but at the same time they don't want to make the change for another 18 months. It reeks of a middle of the road option that was chosen as a compromise option despite not making much sense.

And the fact that it was immediately leaked to the media makes it clear that not everybody on the Board is a Nisbett supporter. The timing of the leak is humiliating for Nisbett. It looks like the decision was a reaction to recent results, which i have no doubt it was but Nisbett doesn't want it to look like that. It makes it look like a sacking with a long fuse on it. A person in the CEO chair would rather it be kept quiet for a month and then announced at a presser, after all the current anger and emotion have died down, and be presented as a dignified and universally agreed handing over of the baton and not a punishment for poor results. People in C suites never want to look like they were sacked or let go for performance reasons. They want their departure to look like it was their choice.
