Traded Adam Treloar [traded w/ #28 to Collingwood for #7, #65, 2016 first rounder]

What would they give up?

Hawthorn has a record of playing fair value for GWS players. If they were to get involved it would be their first round pick and a player.

It was rumoured that GWS offered two first round draft picks last trading period for Breust. Perhaps there is something to work with there.

Wait, are you saying Shoenmakers is a forward (of which GWS have many including Cameron, McCarthy, Patton, Lobb and Stewart) or that Shoenmakers is a backman, in which case he is terrible?

I would think that, from the Pies, Ben Reid could be the wild card.

The chance for a 'fresh' start, locked in money to cover him in case of career ending injury etc.

Reid + Pies 1st for Treloar and a late pick.

Hes on a stupid contract at the minute. Would have to be another Ryan Griffen type setup with Collingwood paying some of his wage for a few more years. Would have no confidence in picking him up on $4-500k a year.

I don't think we have anyone to give up for Treloar. In need of a Key back. I don't see our first, Heatherley and Woodward getting it done.

Giving up much else goes against how we've traded in our window

I doubt Hawthorn would be willing to trade Breust for another midfielder, considering he is capable of making the move into midfield himself (and is excellent in the stoppages). I think he'd be worth more to us as a small forward.

But having said that you need to spend money to make money, and no doubt Treloar wouldn't come cheap.

Trade hypotheticals are crazy. No way Hawks trade Breust unless he wants to leave. And why would he?

Love to see Treloar at North and apparently we're in to him (along with 9 other Victorian clubs).

Be interesting to see how GWS handle things if Treloar does ask for a trade home. They're pretty canny traders.

I'd rather just keep Reid and the 1st TBH. Draft another quality youngster, back what we've got, and spend the money elsewhere.
lol I never even mentioned the pies or reid how you got my post saying that I have nfi

Ben Reid can't get on the park and hasn't been able to for years. Why would GWS want him? The only club that would want Reid is Geelong, he can hang out with all the other guys we have who can't get on the park either.

GWS offered pick 4 for Breust at the last minute
Hawks politely refused

Actually GWS went a bit crazy in the final minutes of trade week last year
Offered pick 7(?) for Howe from Melbourne and something similar for Steve Johnson

Yeah true
Pick 4 for Breust was correct as it was mentioned by Graham Wright on our website in the trade wash up
Hmmm

People mention allot of things. Doesnt mean they are true correct or even arent lying.

I get told all the time our ceo and coach were wrong when they said we got offered only spuds and retirees for top picks.

Graham Wright would know the truth
You know who he is right?
Yes. Doesnt mean i believe a word coming out of his mouth.
And as he is Hawthorn i doubt he doesnt have some bias.

Edit. Sorry looks like you deleted your comment so above seems redundant.
