27 Sep 2013 - "I could sign (with Collingwood) before any sort of trade week period is up and that settles everything," Thomas told radio station Nova 100.
"And then everyone will have egg on their face and a lot of kids will have to get their No.13 jumpers out of the bin because apparently a lot of them are throwing them out."

3 Oct 2013 - Collingwood's decorated midfielder Dale Thomas is set to join Carlton as a free agent, with the Blues about to secure him on a four-year deal worth close to $700,000 a season.

Well it only took Daisy 6 days to change his mind
Yeah but everybody had a fair presumption he was gone early, Treloar is more then likely gone imo

No Daisy just lied through his teeth giving false hope to all the kids that adored him knowing to well he would plunge a knife into their backs a week later to join daddy @ the blues

Well if he goes he goes, we have that much talent we will still pants the lot of you and most of the ex players will watch our lads holding up the trophy from a bar in Bali.

That is the real reality

You can Thanks the AFL for looking after you very well

Just a thought would Sheedy have any link with gws kids at all these days.If so would love him to get in his ear.

Sheedy preached loyalty etc to the kids. Would make him look facetious if he came back and said forget everything I said and join essendon as we have a brighter future than gws

If you'd given him 700k he would have stayed... but as it has turned out you were right not to throw that sort of cash at him.

If any of you think Kevin Sheedy has even 1% of influence of any Giants player you are living in a fools paradise and probably think Lou Richards has influence over current Collingwood players.

Sheedy was a symbolic coach who did a nice job branding the club and was very well remunerated in turn.

If Treloar goes it will be mainly $$$ influenced and then success. From his side I'd say Essendon would be long odds. Collingwood and Richmond would be his main preferences as they have good squads and he can play to big crowds and probably get a good media gig.
