Im sold on it, 48 hours on and i think its strong. look at it up against the other 17 logos. its pretty good.

Oh and they definitely timed it to happen at the same time as an event the whole world was watching. It's classic PR management - take out the trash on a Friday arvo or while everyone is distracted.

Everyone was glued to their phones watching Trumpy take the big win - perfect time to release it while so many people are staring at their devices.

Can mods view who has voted?

It's out of curiosity. For example when you look at the Nick's thread all the votes for "Firmly Yes (I love what I'm seeing)" are from posters from the special peoples board

I get frustrated at how media trained he can be at times and unemotional, but I do like Nicks and think he still has the groups trust. But if this season wasn’t just a taper year and we don’t continue the trajectory we were on before this season, then yeah the rebuild under him obviously hasn’t worked and we should do something about that. But I trust that we will be contending finals next season.

Ok - here is our updated version of the NEW logo.

Once we dug into it, we decided this cleaned up version was enough - no need to back to the one we put together earlier.

There were so many inconsistencies in the way the designers handled different issues, right down to the fact that they had to create a completely different logo for it to be used in mono-colour!

Changes:

• cleaned up a heap of the strangeness around corners and angles and connections
• got rid of ALL the 3-D / thickness
• fixed the overall proportions of the head vs the body vs the wing vs the tail
• cleaned up the wing and removed the overlapping effect
• reshaped the tail
• fixed the head / shoulder
• changed the eye
• opened the beak
• took the 3-d kickers off the text
• colours as per last effort, ie state colours
• overall design can be used in colour or mono

So here it is, our final effort - not keen to spend anymore time on it as it's getting closer to a chore (with no real end result) :-(

Attached is a few different versions I have an SVG file if anyone wants it ... enjoy.

Good thinking - this was the best I could do before it looked too imbalanced.

This is the best one so far, fixing the wings.

Saying that, the wings don't bother me that much, you hardly notice them when it's being used in the examples I've seen.
