Have you or would you consider submitting this to the Club?

Nah … they aren’t interested and nor am I. I don’t blame them - they have their “vision” - have paid a lot for this logo - they aren’t looking for any real feedback at this stage.

I won’t be buying anything with Robo-Crow on it - like I didn’t buy anything with the Seal logo on it.

I’m sure my lack of purchasing a couple of bits of merch won’t be noticed amongst the throngs of supporters that will buy anything the club put out - and good for them!!

Ready to get back to worrying about the club’s on-field / coaching challenges now

Im filthy at your post, because now everytime I see the logo I cant get this Raygun image out of my head, lol. :D

The best logo in my opinion, I have seen on here is Scorpus avatar.

Apologies if posted before, but did Crows fans actually have an opportunity to submit their suggestions?
Apparently they 'consulted' with many supporters, although I'm yet to find a single one involved.
By the time the leak happened, it was far too late for them to make any changes.

and yeh, worry about that!

Honestly the worst part is not a single person at the club thought "hmm that yellow outline, different angled lines and weird wing overlap thing looks a bit odd".

I thought you hated it? You coming around?

If those things you mentioned are the worst parts, it can't be that bad.

I hate the fact that we will likely be stuck with these very simple fixes for likely 15 years.
Never thought the idea was bad. Just looks unfinished.

I get what you're saying, but I personally don't see them as huge issues, everyone will see it differently though. For me the colours are the most important part and they get a huge tick there.

Seeing what it looks like on graphics and on merch I'm actually pretty happy with it.

Hopefully it grows on you.

While it's far from perfect it's definitely growing on me. The correct colours and full crow for a start are major ticks. Even though I've been a long-term member I have never bought any merch displaying the previous logo but I will from now on.

Look, we are talking maybe 2 hours of rough changes. I'm not holding it up as a deployable finished product - I just was so annoyed by the lazy design.

The logo is done, we can move on.

Here we go, here we go Robo-Crows ... with a sort of snake-head (not a seal-head), terrible 3-D elements, no body and a hidden map!

I don’t expect you to make anymore changes .

What did you use to make your changes?

I don’t mind the new logo and agree with most it’s a vast improvement.

There is one thing I really can’t stand and that’s the stupid and extremely tenuous supposed link to our coast line . It’s just not even close. If that was really something that they wanted then would have been better having the crow flying upwards rather than down. Without the embarrassing mansplaining on release I doubt anyone would have naturally seen anything resembling a map of SA

In 30 years we have had 3 completely different logos. Is that normal? If not, does it suggest we have an identity issue or corporate focusses in the wrong direction. Continual re-branding is very public service, create work that doesn’t need doing and gets you no closer to achieving what should be your actual goals.
The outlier is the raptor. There's a definite connection between the new one and the earlier swooping crow. I think the new home at thebby is a reasonable time to freshen up the brand.

That’s not a freshen up, it’s the second complete binning of the old and starting from scratch. I understand the raptor head was absolute garbage, but I think the focus on this at a corporate level speaks to why we’re a very average club.

Every other club has had at least 2 logos in that time, some have had three.

Maybe we’ve been less consistent but I’d put that down to the raptor. I think all our future logos will be a full crow.

As for the rest of the re-branding , feels like a return to our original brand

“Every other club” has totally binned a logo in favour of something completely different? I call bull$hit.
