Opinion Adelaide Crows New Logo Discussion

Just love to see the graphic design wank story to explain the concepts.

For anyone that's ever worked with graphic designers, you know what i'm talking about.

"The angling of the crow wings represents the animal in it's landing motions, signifying the Adelaide Football Club Team aggressively coming in to perch on the opposition, an imposing spectacle when viewed from below".

"The size 10 spanner claws showcase the bird poised to undo the fasteners of the opposition team and the competition, with the rigidity of the angled design promoting strength and security".

Yep, had the stench of a decaf soy mocha choca latte drinker with a "inspiration" couch in the corner of the office all over it.

What's good about our logo is we went 100% in the right direction with colours and that goes a long way.

The Suns appear to have gone the opposite, with a paler yellow. Will hold fire until we see better pics but it doesn't look good so far.

I feel for the Sun supporter.

It hardly even looks like a bird in that small square let alone so distinguished you can tell the type.

Because it looks like our logo with our colours and it's a bird. It looks like our logo, which looks like a crow in our colours. There's plenty to find fault with in the club over the last 5, 10, 15, 20 years but I'm not having a tanty about the artistic likeness of a crow at 64x64 pixels.

Surely if ever other team can have a logo that looks good on a graphic we can too?
Why not shrink it instead of cropping it.

Well there you go. If ever there was a reminder that everyone has different tastes, this is it.

When I see that pale yellow GC appear to have, I just see the horrible BLK yellow that we have gone a millions miles away from.

I don't mind it on Sheikh Mohammed Obaid's silks, but footy needs a richer colour.

I can’t even remember where I saw it but yes ours was the only one I remember thinking wasn’t clear at all.
Pretty sure the whole G is shown for the giants.

Yeah but you would only know what team that was because you already know the logo. It's the same with ours. And they certainly aren't a Giant or a Demon.

The cropping job is bad though.

I mean it’s obvious it’s a G, ours is not obvious what it is.
Where are they show, I want to take another look.
