If that's the Gold Coast logo, they will never win a flag. Ever.
Good clubs don't approve horrendous eye scorching bag of shit logos like that. It's so bad it throws the decision making of the entire club into question. If they can't get a logo right and choose utter trash like that, what can they decide?

Ours has a bit of 'robo death bird' look that I'm digging.
Same vibes the Atlanta Falcons logo gives.

The AFL are a funny mob. We get rid of the raptor, and they still want to just focus on the head. They could have easily used more of the logo. They did for other clubs.... they even changed Port's and gave them a V.Comparison of the zoomed square version to the other clubs
At first I thought it's terrible. And it kind of is - especially for a football club.
As a logo itself, say for 'Gold Coast - the region' it is actually pretty cool. It has an S for 'suns', and it also looks like a setting sun being reflected in water. So it definitely has some interesting bits. Also has some cool retro Star Wars feel.
Unfortunately, it is meant to be a football club, so it's a terrible choice for that. It reeks of being created by a marketing team that does corporate logos. They really do need to change their name. 'Suns' is just stupid. Almost as bad as 'Power'.

When not zoomed horrendously, yes it does.
We should have gone full on with it though. Laser eyes. Maybe have missiles attached to the wings.

I think East Fremantle were the original impediment to an AFL side using the Sharks nickname (it was considered for Adelaide), so maybe they still are. Money talks, but I guess the AFL weren't that bothered.
That bit of navy on the back of the GC training jumper... looking a bit SA jumper with a shit yellow.

Technically our gather round and clash guernseys last year weren't our logo anyway so if we wanted to keep using them we probably could. Seems obvious that we'll pivot to the new logo though.
