I don’t mind the new logo and agree with most it’s a vast improvement.

There is one thing I really can’t stand and that’s the stupid and extremely tenuous supposed link to our coast line . It’s just not even close. If that was really something that they wanted then would have been better having the crow flying upwards rather than down. Without the embarrassing mansplaining on release I doubt anyone would have naturally seen anything resembling a map of SA
I reckon people are overstating the 'map of SA' talk. It's obviously something the've worked into it, but I don't think it's meant to be a major feature of the logo. Some people are making out that it's supposed to be the defining element, which I don't think was ever the intent - more of just subtle nod to the state (which, honestly, is not that hard to make out).

What WILL be interesting is whether the Tassie Devils incorporate a 'map of Tasmania' into their logo...

I think the map of SA link was retconned in afterwards to make it seem like the designers incorporated more elements and thus did a more impressive job

If that's the Gold Coast logo, they will never win a flag. Ever.

Good clubs don't approve horrendous eye scorching bag of shit logos like that. It's so bad it throws the decision making of the entire club into question. If they can't get a logo right and choose utter trash like that, what can they decide?
A top notch coach?

I'm perfectly happy with the new logo. It's got a crow. It's got attitude. Its appearance has a bit of 'metal'.

The one bit I don't see in it is the 'shape of the State' that the club says it has. What, where?

Now it's up to the players to make it a feared logo. Only then will it become a legend.

cheers

I'm sorry but the head is the worst part of the new design and making it huge exacerbates the problem. I hope we stick to last year's design
Thanks! You just inadvertently sent me down a rabbit warren on the net. I Googled "snake head crow". It is only fair that you now do the same.

I saw a polo in the wild today - the embroidered logo looks fine, but the weird shape of the colours at the base of the wing still really throw off the whole thing, particularly given that the design is meant to be slick and angular...

Upon deep reflection, I have made the following assessment:

What does the S stand for?

Can you ever see us changing our home guernsey? to something more subtle?
Bloody hope not. Changing your core identity on a whim is for the franchise from Alberton.

When (if) we ever win another flag, it should be in the same guernsey that McLeod and Jarman wore (clash permitting).

It looks hilariously pathetic when all of Port's premiership stuff looks like a different team thanks to their guernsey overhaul.

They could just win a flag in their current jumper, but that's a bit beyond them currently.
