agreed. we've definitely put in a shift and created chances, but not taking chances against a quality side just kills you.

really want lia to not be starting a few games. he's dragging us down a bit.

Yep, 6 years without beating our arch enemy at home is just pathetic given we’ve regularly featured in the finals in that period. Guess the damn victory are always one or more steps ahead of us, surely the navy blue & whites are due to have a bad season or two?!?

Theyve had bad seasons, but theyre a big enough club in a small league that they will always bounce back quicker than most. They now have the most powerful frontline in A League history which covers a relatively weak back half.

We matched and outplayed them for large parts of last night with 3 of our 4 imports missing and a 19yo kid leading the line, we're going along just fine. Mirko Boland actually travelled with the Red Army last night, seems very invested in the club.

About time. I think this further proves Baba is staying though. Nevertheless, the club has to sign another foreigner now. I am unsure if it'll be a striker since we already have 4 of them. A number 10 would be nice.

Not sure it means that at all, I'm almost certain we will try to get rid of him in January and bring 2 new players in.

I don't see us bringing two foreigners into the squad in January, just not something a club like us would do. I've seen nothing to suggest Baba will be released.

He'll go where the money is, word is its us, Sydney or City.... the 3 clubs youd think he wouldnt go to.

Also, a club like us isnt really us anymore is it ?? New owners, a new foreigner spot open and a manager demanding a striker. The only way I can see Baba staying is if they felt his knee injury was just unlucky, which it kinda is.

I'd be trying to release him and I think Kurz wants to as well.

I can’t stand the bloke, but if he’s knocking in the goals, I’d take him.

Truth be told though, he was starting to decline his last couple of seasons. Not sure I’d want him now.

Its why it hasnt worked for him in Japan. The jump in quality while youre in the twilight of your career wasnt the best idea.

Hes still smart enough to score goals in the A League, but i wouldnt offer him top dollar
